Hello there, my name is Delaney Sheridan, and since the world is online now I decided to “send” my buyer letters out through social media. This year, due to the coronavirus outbreak our county fair has been cancelled. There are many groups and parents working tirelessly to create a seperate show and auction for us to be involved in but it is not certain. There are talks of an online auction but it is not set in stone. That's the latest update on the situation but now i would like to give some information about me and my market projects. I am a part of Brentwood 4-H and Brentwood FFA and am the current president of my 4-H club. Right now I am raising 3 pigs, 2 breeders and one market. My two breeders are Winnie and J-Lo and I will be trying to take them to the state fair. My market hog is named Maggie and currently right now weighs 210 pounds with my target weight being around 265. In February, I was able to jackpot and show Maggie and Winnie around California. We did pretty well with high placings in showmanship and market, Winnie winning one of her classes also. After the fair, I am planning to add Winnie to my breeding herd. Currently I have 2 sows and this will be my last year breeding them. Last year both of my sows were not able to produce babies due to complications. The money from my animals will go into my breeding project, future market projects, and a fund for college. I am planning to pursue a career in animal science and am looking at Utah state, Oklahoma state, and University of Tennessee. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope that you can help support my market projects, as well as other 4-H and FFA youth.
