It’s my Anniversary! 🩺 💙
14 years ago today I passed boards and began my nursing career!
I remember trying to decide the best route to becoming a nurse. I was torn between an accelerated second degree program (BSN) or an LPN program (Certificate). I couldn’t decide so I applied to both and figured I would go to whichever program accepted me. I was accepted to both so I still had a decision to make.
The second Bachelors degree looked best on paper but it wasn’t the best decision for me at the time. So I completed the LPN program, began working and applied to RN school. I earned my ADN BSN and finally my MSN. 😅 I took the scenic route which may not work for everybody but it worked great for me! This nursing journey has been challenging yet rewarding.
I’ve embracing my new role and looking forward to what’s next! 🩺🥼

Last week I decided it was time for me to take my nurse practitioner certification exam. I studied 4 days for about 21 hours a day and today I PASSED boards!
I am officially a Nurse Practitioner!
Thank you to my team & for the support and love!!! I couldn’t have done it without y’all. It was a struggle trying to study while being a full time mom and teacher to two small children. Shout out to my BFF and her hubby for taking my babies for a few days and allowing me to take the time I needed to make it happen. I appreciate y’all so much!!
