BREAKING NEWS: POLICE IN GUATENG
HAS CONFIRMED THE DEATH OF SOUTH AFRICAN HIT-MAKER, DJ SUMBODY.

He was shot yesterday morning while travelling with his bodyguards on the Woodmead Road.

The car they were travelling in was sprayed with bullets, killing the musician and one of his bodyguards on the spot. The third occupant of the car, another bodyguard, is in critical condition. DJ Sumbody was scheduled to perform at the All White V***e Clicquot Picnic yesterday.

Reacting to the incident on behalf of the Police, Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo said in a statement, "Police received a complaint about a shooting on Woodmead Drive at approximately 12.30am.

Upon arrival at the scene, Police found two people inside a VW Golf with gunshot wounds. "Both victims, a driver, and a passenger were certified dead on the scene.

It was reported that the third victim, who was driving a BMW X5, was taken to the nearest medical care centre after sustaining gunshot wounds.

"Gauteng Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major-General Tommy Mthombeni, has deployed maximum resources to trace suspects responsible for this shooting.

"Police appeal to anyone with information that can help in the investigation or assist in the apprehension of the suspects to call the crime stop number or report to the nearest police station.

Qatar bribed eight Ecuadorian footballers to lose for their team in the opening match of the (November 20) for $7.4 million, said Amjad Tah, regional head of the British Center for Middle East Studies.

JUST IN: The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced that the Pacific Alliance summit, to be held between November 23 and 25, will be held in Mexico City and not in Oaxaca, as scheduled.

During his morning media conference, the president said that the venue will be changed to the country's capital "for logistical reasons" and confirmed the presence of at least five South American presidents.

Police responded to 430 Gartrell St. SE and located two men with gunshot wounds. During the initial investigation, the men told police they were walking home with two female friends when they approached two male and a female suspect.

Sadiq Khan (MayorofLondon) has hailed the “huge success” of the Elizabeth Line as Sunday services and more direct routes were opened.

The Mayor of London joined transport leaders to ride the £19 billion railway from Stratford to Paddington on Sunday morning.

The trip marked the opening of direct routes across the line as well as a 7-day service for the first time since the line opened in May.

As of Sunday morning, passengers can travel across the entire line stretching from Reading in Berkshire and Heathrow Airport in south-west London, to Abbey Wood in south-east London and Shenfield in Essex without changing platforms.

BREAKING NEWS:
An Ohio man has been charged with a federal hate crime in connection with an alleged assault on an Asian American student at the University of Cincinnati last year

Darrin Johnson, 26, of Cincinnati, was arrested Thursday following his indictment by a federal grand jury, the U.S. attorney’s office in the southern district of Ohio said in a news release.

The victim was preparing to go for a run on a campus street in August 2021 when Johnson began yelling racial comments and threats at him, federal prosecutors said.

Referring to COVID-19, he yelled, “Go back to your country. … You brought the Kung flu here. … You’re going to die for bringing it,” prosecutors said.

The indictment alleges that Johnson then punched the victim on the side of the head, causing him to fall and hit his head on the bumper of a parked car. The victim had a minor concussion and cuts to his face, prosecutors said.

Arrested in a parking lot near a recreation center, Johnson pleaded guilty in municipal court in October 2021 to misdemeanor assault and criminal intimidation, and was sentenced to nearly a year in county jail, federal prosecutors said.
