Of these 25 years since the Popular Referendum on the 30th of August 1999, we are proud to have witnessed 14, seeing first-hand the strength, determination, big hearts and smiles of the people of Asia's youngest country. We hope we have contributed with our work and expertise (as in this beautiful video clip that we produced 5 years ago on this occasion for the UN Agencies in TL) and are committed to doing our best for the years to come. Viva!

To mark National Reconciliation Week, the Australian Embassy in Timor-Leste will screen three films 🎬 at Fundação Oriente em Timor-Leste showcasing First Nations directors, actors, and stories. All films will be dubbed in Tetum and the event is open to the public.

Join us on 28 May at 6pm for a screening of In My Blood It Runs, a critically acclaimed documentary from the perspective of a 10-year-old Aboriginal boy as he grows up in the town of Alice Springs.

On 1 June at 6pm we will screen The Sapphires, a musical comedy-drama about four Aboriginal women who are discovered by a talent scout, form a musical group, and travel to Vietnam in 1968 to sing for troops during the war.

And on 2 June we will screen Top End Wedding, a romantic comedy directed by Wayne Blair, starring Miranda Tapsell and Gwilym Lee.

National Reconciliation Week is celebrated across Australia each year between 27 May and 3 June. The dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey—the anniversaries of the successful 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision.

Together with a team of the Ministry of Education and UNICEF, Pixelasia Productions Dili created "Eskola ba Uma" as a response to school closures in Timor-Leste in March 2020. Proud to see that our hard work has paid off and Eskola ba Uma and its digital tools are still around to support education in Asia's youngest country.

The Pixelasia Productions Dili crew is proud to be standing and marching together once more with our friends from Timor-Leste Pride. We will never forget, when in 2017, three people rocked up at the Pixelasia studios with big ideas and asked us for support. This was the start of a great collaboration, an internationally acclaimed documentary and many years of PRIDE in Asia's youngest country. Love is Love, and more colours make it more beautiful.
