The Pattaya International Fireworks Festival 2024 will take place on November 29-30 along the 2.7-kilometer stretch of Pattaya Beach. This annual event promises breathtaking displays featuring over 15,000 fireworks each night from five participating countries: Germany, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Serbia, and the United Kingdom.

In addition to the fireworks, visitors can enjoy live music from popular artists, food stalls, and a vibrant beachside atmosphere. The theme for this year’s festival, “Festival of Lights,” highlights its significance as a major international event   .

To accommodate the crowds, local authorities have planned road closures and parking restrictions in the area, with designated parking spots available at nearby locations like Terminal 21 Pattaya and Bali Hai Pier  .

This festival is free to attend, making it an excellent opportunity for both locals and tourists to witness a world-class spectacle .

The Vatican, on Oct 28, 2024, unveiled a new mascot for the Holy Year 2025. The mascot, whose design is very reminiscent of anime characters, is named Luce (Italian for Light). The mascot was designed by Simone Legno, the Italian co-founder of the pop culture brand tokidoki, known for his love of Japanese pop culture.

“Luce” is the official mascot for the Vatican’s Jubilee Year 2025. The name “Luce” means “light” in Italian, symbolizing enlightenment, hope, and faith. Luce is a bright, friendly character designed to engage people of all ages, especially the younger generation, as part of the Holy Year celebrations, which are expected to bring millions of pilgrims to Rome.

In light of the tragic bus fire in Bangkok that claimed the lives of innocent children and dedicated teachers, let us unite in prayer for their souls. These young lives and those who nurtured them were taken too soon, leaving behind families and loved ones who are now facing unimaginable grief.

Let us take a moment to pray for the eternal rest of the departed and for peace to fill the hearts of their grieving families. May they find comfort in this time of sorrow, and may our collective prayers give them strength and hope.
