Connection, Not Perfection 💪🏼
❌”Wrong, all mostly wrong!” 🫤THIS is how our actual fitness session is like 90% of the time. With me repeating instructions to the son to follow the right moves and trying to help him improve his poor hand-eye coordination (a trait of his ASD).
Yet I’m reminded, like how I started with my own fitness journey, it’s the connection, not perfection, that matters.
It’s consistency, not condemnation that will reap results.
So despite all the errors and mistimed coordination, we go on. For me, it’s a season in time where my 9 y/o looks up to me, his Daddy, as his coach, personal trainer and encourager and looks forward to working out with me.
This is a connection that I will always treasure. ❤️

First weekend back home and our most important lesson to our kids is that they are blessed to be a blessing and they can do their part, regardless of how young they are.
We are so happy that the annual Boys’ Brigade “Share a Gift”drive is back, post pandemic.
So here is the son, all 9 y/o and doing his part as a junior Boys Brigade member to deliver goodie bags to needy families.
I pretty much just stood at the side and cheered him on as he sorted, lifted, pulled, knocked on doors and wished the residents a ‘Merry Christmas’ before handing them the goodie bags filled with essential groceries donated by the public.
The whole process took us around 3+ hours but I’m sure the experience will stick with him for a lifetime.
Everyone of us can do our part to make our society a kinder, inclusive and more compassionate one. Merry Christmas! 💙

So my overtime work saw the Hubs take the daughter out for the
A Daddy-Daughter date night out instead to watch a Daddy-Daughter musical which was perfect! This is what he says about the latest Mamma Mia production to hit our shores:
"Though we’ve watched this musical a few times including the movie version, hearing and grooving to the infectiously groovy tunes of ABBA never goes out of style!
In fact, the teen daughter loved it so much she actually asked “Daddy, are all these cool songs from ABBA?”
“Yes of course” I replied with glee! Talk about filling the generation gap!
The latest production to hit our shores played to an overwhelming full-house that rose to a ‘dancing ovation’ at the end. Swipe left to see some highlights.

Aside from the ABBA tunes,what did it for us were:
🪩The live band! Yes hear these iconic songs performed LIVE is in itself a treat !
🎤The singing: singing these songs are huge shoes to fill and the lead cast here did a wonderful job!
🕺The dancing! Lights, colour and energy, enough said!
Aside from a meaningful Daddy-Daughter time, we felt refreshed and rejuvenated by the musical! Not to be missed!
