We are ecstatic to share that our evocative film “CPF Stories: Keep Smiling” has just won “Best Branded Content” at the 28th Asian Television Awards! 🥳🏆

Many, many people were involved in bringing this daring vision to life and we are very thrilled that the heartfelt and authentic emotional storytelling we had set out to achieve has been recognised at this prestigious event.

Not too long ago, when we set out to truly assess why we continue to do what we do, having been in the business for 16 (coming to 17) years, we realised is the Brand Promise that resonates strongly with us - and it is our goal to collaborate with more and more like-minded clients in the commercial, corporate and government space who can also relate to this higher vision.

This project is definitely one committed step in the right direction to live out our purpose of crafting empowering stories that inspire change for positive influence.

We are thrilled to share our latest project, "Keep Smiling," a touching tribute to frontline workers who have been facing unprecedented challenges in their daily work. This meaningful short film project is crafted in close collaboration with Ler Jiyuan, the talented director we worked closely with over a nine-month period, from ideation to delivery.

As a purpose-driven production company, we take pride in creating stories that empower and inspire positive change. "Keep Smiling" perfectly aligns with our mission to tell captivating stories that resonate deeply with audiences.

From origination and story development to production and post, we poured our hearts and souls into bringing this film to life. The result is a deeply personal, human portrait of the people behind the frontline workers we may encounter in our daily lives.

When it comes to doing work on a national level, it is not often we are given a free hand to really make the piece a subtle and emotion-led one.

But this was exactly the brief that came to us, where we were entrusted with the responsibility of crafting a short film that speaks to students from primary through to secondary and tertiary schools across the whole of Singapore… on a deeper emotional level.

Having lived through the past two years of uncertainty, filled with fears, doubts and more questions than answers, our kids and youths have also grown in many ways, while navigating complex feelings and big emotions.

So this National Day, the Ministry of Education felt it’s necessary for us to commemorate not just our usual story of independence but also bring a special and much-needed sense of hope, catharsis and light to our young people (and our educators who went through a lot during this time as well).

At the heart of what we do is the desire to influence positive change through the work we do - and we’re grateful for the chance to make this level of impact together with the dedicated team from MOE, who were with us every step of the way✨

For February’s Team Feature, we have our Senior Creative Producer, Yong Hong, to share more about himself!

Happily married, Yong Hong has 2 furkids under his care, Drizzle and Bubble 🐱🐱. Yong Hong is also an avid mahjong player and likes to spend his mahjong wins at the Suntec City UFO catcher with his wife 👾. Aside from mahjong, he enjoys playing FIFA and meeting friends for a beer or two whenever he is free.

Filmmaking began for him back in his university days when he discovered his interest in short films. His passion grew after watching Stephen Chow’s slapstick comedies of the 1990s.

Fun fact: Yong Hong has watched the ‘Flirting Scholar’ (1993) at least 20 times, and the legendary ‘Hail The Judge’ (1994) probably more than 50 times… so much so that Yong Hong can imitate Stephen Chow’s iconic laughter! 🍿

Yong Hong’s knowledge and experience in working on both local and regional productions gives him an in-depth understanding of diverse projects and empowers him to lead the team and our clients.

To him, Intuitive Films is a close-knitted family that works hand in hand across departments to tackle issues collectively. Not only does the team take pride in the videos produced, the team has never once shied away from challenges faced 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦.

At Intuitive Films, we constantly strive to influence positive change through our work. As such, we are excited to celebrate with our client, the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) on their 30th year of building a better world.

In their 30th Anniversary video, we showcase how SIF has been collaborating and connecting with diverse communities, even through the recent challenges posed by Covid-19. Acknowledging the hard work that’s been achieved with the help of countless partners and volunteers internationally, SIF hopes to express their heartfelt appreciation and garner more support to impact more lives positively in the coming years.

“People who cause Hurt” (or “PCH”) are sometimes also victims of domestic abuse themselves. And this brings about a cycle that can perpetuate to the families they form as well.

Together with our client, Casa Raudha, we worked on a video entitled “Voices of Hope” as part of a campaign to create awareness of the importance of safeguarding the next generation so that we could in turn end the vicious intergenerational cycle of abuse.

Shedding light on these issues, we interviewed two guests to share their thoughts and experiences throughout their journeys of change. We hope the video brings hope to those who are struggling with domestic abuse to step forward and seek help.
