We had the greatest honour of being involved in recording Chloe Chua's most recent album, 'Butterfly Lovers & Paganini,' which she performed with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO), Rodolfo Barráez and Mario Venzago 9 months ago. We would like to acknowledge her achievements as her album reached No. 1 in the Classical Top 100 on the Apple Music Classical app, No. 4 UK Official Charts on the Specialist Classical Chart and No. 6 on Billboard's Traditional Classical Chart.

Violin prodigy Chloe Chua presented 3 works from Chen Gang, He Zhanhao's Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto,' Chen Gang's 'Sunshine over Tashkurgan,' and Niccolò Paganini's First Violin Concerto'. These works were a combination of the classic Western orchestra with elements of Chinese opera.

Seoul National University held a workshop entitled "Today's Music Production Concert Halls and its Future" for their Music & Recording Students. Johannes, Young Sun and Mina were invited to present on recording experiences in the first six months of Isarphilharmonie.

This presentation was also given for the 2022 International Congress on Acoustics (ICA) in Gyeongju, Korea.

This year's ICA offers the unique opportunity to learn about the study and latest researches as well as to exchange ideas and information on acoustics through plenary lectures, technical sessions, and poster presentations.

Featuring our Tonmeister Dominik!

There is a small 🇩🇪 link in the current version of the 🇸🇬 National Anthem recorded by Singapore Symphony Orchestra in 2019?

Dominik Streicher from the recording team of the National Anthem is the ‘Tonmeister’, a rare and very specific German course of study that is only offered at very few universities in Germany. Literally translated as ‘Sound Master’, the Tonmeister as the artistic recording supervisor and audio recording producer of a recording is required to be a master of both: the artistic and the engineering world.

Tonmeister from Germany are in high demand for sophisticated music recordings in order to accentuate the music and its expression in the best possible way. In contrast to sound technicians or engineers who undergo mainly technical training, Tonmeister require additional above-average musicality and a high level of psychological skill.

So next time when you sing ‘Majulah Singapura’, will you think of Germany too?
