Hi all, 4WS receptionist here — breaking the fourth wall (xD) for the very first time on our (evidently) very stale social media page.
For the uninitiated, the idea of 4WS started out from a desire to have a practice space for myself. But with any property in SG, renting even the smallest of spaces solely to practice my craft was financially unviable and a bit silly as most would concur. It naturally evolved into the idea of a co-sharing rehearsal/recording space between several bands, and with the onboarding of a few partners who shared the same ambition and vision — we have what is 4WS today.
Despite our admittedly ulu location and shady building outlook, we’re beyond touched to know that 4WS has become the go-to for so many bands that have treated our humble abode as their very own and accorded it with the same love and nurture that we put into it. We never expected this place to grow into what it has become today, and we only have ~y’all~ to thank for that.
So what does this picture of a ridiculously oversized drum kit have to do with anything you might ask? Well, for the first time in 2+ years since our inception, yours truly has been promoted to 𝒞𝓊𝓈𝓉𝑜𝓂𝑒𝓇™ and thrusted behind the throne as a ‘recording artiste’ (lmao) so I thought it would be quite fitting to capture this moment. In true 4WS spirit, and also my need to overcompensate for the lack of my abilities, we have this monstrosity of a drum kit for goofs and for fellow drum nerdz’ enjoyment.
I apologize if we unintentionally ghosted your emails/messages the whole of yesterday, as we were a bit pre-occupied to say the least.. business resumes today though, see y’all!
