The final day of the Holy Father's Apostolic Visit in Singapore began at Saint Theresa's Home. Beaming, Pope Francis warmly greeted residents at eye-level, thanked the staff present and granted everyone pardon and a blessing.
Without rest, he made his way to the highly anticipated Interreligious Dialogue with Youth at Catholic Junior College. Pope Francis sincerely listened to the concerns of our young people and exchanged words of encouragement while injecting his sense of humour that brought much laughter from the audience of staff, teachers, clergy and students present there.
It was a tearful goodbye as Pope Francis departed for Rome from Singapore Changi Airport. This spoke volumes on how the warm presence of the Holy Father and the message of love he had shared during his 12-day Apostolic Journey to Southeast Asia and Oceania, had certainly touched the hearts of many.
May we continue to keep him in our prayers, as he keeps us in his. Preghiamo per te!
