Jesus has already won salvation for all through His sacrifice on the Cross. This is what the Church calls 𝘰𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.

Yet salvation is not something that happens automatically. It calls for our response to choose to receive and cooperate with God’s grace and to live according to His will. This is what we call 𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.

Our Lady shows us what this looks like as she says “yes” to God from her fiat at the Annunciation to the Cross. Her life reminds us that salvation is a gift freely offered, but one we must choose to embrace each day as we say “yes” to what God asks and “no” to our selfish desires.

As we journey through this month of the Rosary, may we turn to Mary — our Mother of Hope — who walks with us and leads us ever closer to her Son.

Having gone through the same journey that we are making, she knows our struggles and pains. May we turn to her for comfort, courage and the assurance that our hope in Christ will never fail.

When it comes to unplanned pregnancies, we often overlook the struggles men face. Many carry the weight of guilt, shame, and fear as they learn to take responsibility and embrace fatherhood.
