“The themes of this EP centre around the struggles of becoming – dealing with grief, heartbreak, and handling big life decisions. I hope to be able to use the EP to talk about these difficult topics and have conversations about them. Losing a person in any capacity, whether to death or the end of a relationship, is a very normal experience especially as we age and the people around us head in different directions.”

‘Beefy’ is latest single about refusing to acknowledge the mental and bodily damage that bad habits cause. The lyrics narrate from the perspective of a frustrated individual tired of enduring others dismissing their self-destructive tendencies. 

These frustrations are conveyed in an edgy and unrelenting rock tune that features gritty vocals, fuzzy guitars, and pulsating synths.

Set to a new-wave, post-punk inspired production, drew from inspirations like New Order, Joy Division and Yot Club to emphasize themes of melancholia and longing.

Welcome to the very first volume of Fruit Basket, a showcase of the freshest up-and-coming artists from Singapore and the region.

For this first edition, we've brought together 'friendship-core' newcomers 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙥𝙚𝙩 𝙂𝙤𝙡𝙛, the effervescent pop-rock of RENE, the introspective indietronica of 𝙎𝙪𝙣 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙡 and the energetic psych-rock septet 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝘼𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙨𝙩 𝙎𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨. What's more, audiences will be treated as each artist puts their own spin on a selected meme tune (no points for shouting "play Wonderwall").

P.S. This show is happening, it's not a joke. We promise.
