Welkin - Emblems of Valour is the 2nd album of this brilliant Singaporean black metal project, they changed the style into typical Chinese black metal with herotic riffs and a totally Chinese epic atmosphere, the concept of this album is based on the famous Legend of Three Kingdoms, this tape version was out by Singaporean label 南風 - Southern Winds Productions in nice art work and quality.

The first release in the year 2023. We have been inactive since our first release, and that time we have kept contact with several oustanding artists around the world for cooperation opportunities. This time we have the honor to collaborate with Welkin, 皇天, a Singaporean Han Chinese black metal project, to release their second studio album titled 'Emblems of Valour', '武勇' in cassette form. This release will be a departure from their last studio album in 2020 titled 'Recollections of Conquest and Honour' ; their works this time revolves around the theme of the Han Chinese epic of The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, 三国演义. Alongside with its Han Chinese theme comes with authentic Han Chinese influenced melodies to sing hymns of praises to heroes of old.
The release date for the cassette will be announced soon.

自上一張發行我們潛伏了一段時間並和世界各地優秀的藝術家保持聯係討論合作機會。這次我們很榮幸能與新加坡華人黑金屬計劃Welkin《皇天》合作發行他們第二張全長專輯Emblems of Valour《武勇》亞洲磁帶版。這是皇天自2020年首張專輯Recollections of Conquest and Honour后的全新開端；本次作品《武勇》圍繞這三國演義主題並使用了具有漢民族旋律的吉他音色浩氣歌頌! 發佈日期待確定。

山河/Old Empire is a dungeon synth/neofolk project based in Malaysia whose members are part of the Chinese Han diaspora.Though it is not a metal stuff but deeply related to Chinese metal scene,this project is somewhat a starting of a journey to understand one's own heritage which has been partly lost after hundred of years leaving the ancestral lands. For this demo titled 宗教 which means ancestral teachings, the debut demo of Old Empire is mainly influenced by 古琴/Guqin music and dungeon synth music. Old Empire will take a long break after this demo to further study Chinese music. The cassette is available through 南風 - Southern Winds Productions in Singapore.

Old Empire - Ancestral Teachings

This project was started in Malacca and Taiping by Hanfu Enthusiasts and were influenced by traditional Guqin music and Confucianism, this is their first dungeon synth/neofolk demo. We only have limited copies, so grab it fast!!
