Originally a solo project by Carlos Rego Costa Matos, KAKERLAKK faced multiple challenges and hiatuses but has now risen from the ashes to deliver their debut album and step onto the stage for the first time in over 20 years!

Mournolith Abyss emerges from the abyss once more, unleashing their latest opus upon the world.

Following the infernal blaze of their debut single "Brimstone Confessions" in 2023, Mournolith Abyss returns with "A Slave To Darkness." This cacophony of darkness drags listeners into the abyss of despair, where anguish and chaos reign supreme.

"20 YEARS CROSSFAITH WITH MORBID DEATH | RIBEIRAGRANDENSE THEATER

The band Crossfaith is returning to the stage to celebrate 20 years of career, and will perform on the 22nd of March at Ribeiragrandense Theater alongside “Morbid Death”, in a concert that brings together, on the same stage, two of the most emblematic and old rock/metal bands from the Azores.

This will be a kick-off concert for the “Crossfaith 20 Years Tour”, which features the official launch of the video clip "GraveDiggers" and the special participation of "Morbid Death", who this year also celebrate their 34 year career, together celebrate this important Crossfaith milestone.

At the end of 2023, Crossfaith recorded their first video clip for the single "GraveDiggers" in Ribeira Grande, which will be premiered during the anniversary concert, becoming available on digital platforms from March 23rd.

Tickets cost €7.5 and can now be purchased at the Ribeiragrandense Theater box office or at BOL.

On January 27th, all roads led to Santo António Nordestinho, more precisely to the Padre Manuel Raposo Cultural Center, where the 2nd edition of LAVA FEST took place, featuring The Quiet Bottom, Old Native Omen and Buried By Lava.
The organization is truly to be congratulated. It managed to raise the level of professionalism in how a hard 'n heavy festival should be organized.

Today, the Azorean Metal celebrates seven years of existence, initially founded by Miguel Santos, who was joined two years later by Rui Arruda de Melo. Time flew...

We enthusiastically witnessed a growth of new projects and bands in the Rock and Metal scene, which greatly dignify our islands. Our commitment to this new paradigm is to continue, in an altruistic way, to help regional projects and bands with effective promotion and dissemination within digital platforms. We commit to doing this in the most professional way possible, in hope that our work helps you and inspires new musicians to show their work or, perhaps, that it encourages the emergence of other channel of communication with the Azorean Metal digital imprint.

This project, which today is a robust communication hub for regional Rock and Metal musicians, would not be active without our perseverance and dedication, sometimes to the detriment of our personal life, enjoyment of this work in particular and, not least important, without the precious help from some people like Luís Ferreira in the image of the Malta da Pesada program, Eliezer Pereira in the various teasers, Cristóvão Ferreira in the design and production of the entire first series of MdP, Mariana Pinheiro, Ricardo Santos and Paulo Sousa in the segments from the program. And, also, the unparalleled and continuous help of Stepan Kobyakin on several fronts of Azorean Metal.

A big thank you to everyone mentioned for their support over these 7 years and, of course, to all our faithful followers who make up this powerful metal community.

We developed a new format that aims to help bands internationalize themselves. In an increasingly global world, we understand that it is important to promote projects and bands abroad, done clearly and in a digital format. Thus, Azorean Metal TV was born, which will be premiered by the band DRVZKA, winner and nominated for multiple categories at the Azorean Metal Awards 2023.
