The Department of International Relations extends its congratulations to our student Amna Goraya (BS-6th semester) on successfully completing her UGRAD Fall 2023 programme from University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) in International Relations and Affairs. This programme enabled her to have International exposure and to represent her university and her country at the international level. We wish her more success in her future endeavors.

The Department of International Relations organised a Two-Day Symposium titled "Inclusive Dialogue on Kashmir" on April 24-25, 2024, held at Edhi Hall Hall, NDU. The event was officially inaugurated by the honorable Rear AdmiralJaved Iqbal, Deputy President, National Defense University.

The Day-2 of the symposium featured two activities, the first one was a workshop on "Conflict analysis and role of Dialogue" with Mr. Tahir Aziz. It was an interactive session in which the students got the chance to implement the knowledge they have gained from their studies in the practical field under the guidance of Mr. Tahir Aziz and Prof. Dr Shaheen Akthar.
The second part of Day-2 was the Model United Nations(MUN), UNHRC meeting on the Human rights violations in Kashmir. The students displayed exceptional diplomatic skills as the delegates of different States taking part in the meeting. The participants of the workshop and the MUN were awarded with certificates for their participation and efforts to make the event successful.

The Department of International Relations organised a Two-Day Symposium titled "Inclusive Dialogue on Kashmir" on April 24-25, 2024, held at JS Hall, NDU. The event was officially inaugurated by the honorable Rear Admiral Javed Iqbal, Deputy President, National Defense University.
The Day-1 of the symposium featured distinguished academicians, speakers, and leaders from Kashmir convened to explore the Kashmir Conflict from various perspectives in four different sessions. Ambassador Riffat Masood delivered the keynote address, offering insights into the evolving dynamics of the conflict.

Special recognition is owed to the Head of the IR Department, Professor Dr. Shaheen Akhtar, Dean of FCS, Professor Dr. Zulfiqar Khan, as well as the faculty members including Mr. Umair Pervez Khan, Mr. Sardar Bakhsh, and Ms. Maria Rehman, along with the entire organizing team for their outstanding efforts in ensuring the success and warm reception of this event.
