Pakistan Defence
Revived for a great survival...
Pakistan may end up building and buying 150+100 = 250 JF-17 fighters to replace the obsolete 3rd generation fleet of its fighter and attack aircrafts like A-5 (Already Retired), F-7P, F-7PG, FT-7, Mirage-III and Mirage-V. All of these aircrafts will be replaced by ONE multirole aircraft (JF-17) which will result in a massive reduction in maintainance, servicing, operational and training costs. This aircraft is also a suitable and affordable replacement for aircrafts like the F-4, F-5, Mirage F-1, Mirage III, Mirage-V, Mirage-2000, Cheetah, Kfir, Mig-21, Mig-23, Su-17, Mig-27, Jaguar and early variants of Mig-29 Fulcrum. The JF-17 will take over responsibility for a vast range of missions inclduing Pilot training, Air Defense Alert, Interdiction, Maritime Attack, Counter Terrorism, Close Air Support, Nuclear Strike, Intelligence gathering, Mapping, Electronic Warfare and as a testbed for new Pakistani weapons, softwares and systems for technical certification. This will spawn a revolution in the domestic Military industry because locally produced weapons, software and systems can now be tested, validated and certified in Pakistan, instead of sending them abroad, thus saving millions of dollars in the process.
