Looks the all Mexican firefight we’ve all been waiting for is finally happening on 8/12. Just so you know this was supposed to happen on February 3rd, unfortunately Oscar Valdez suffered an injury and Navarrete faced Aussie underdog Liam Wilson instead. A mismatch in the eyes of many boxing fans turned out to be the toughest fight of Vaquero’s career, suffering his very first knockdown after getting clipped by the Australian’s left hook from hell.
Prior to this fight being announce, when everyone thought it was still going to be Navarrete vs Valdez, 90% of the casuals beleive that Vaquero would walk thru Valdez. Now that Navarrete has tasted the canvas like his Mexican counterpart, Oscar Valdez, many now beleive the opposite is going to take place. Many people now beleive that VALDEZ will easily dispose of Navarrete. All these questions will be answered on August 12.
Now, as for Wilson, He was scheduled to fight on the undercard of Tszyu Vs Ocampo against another Mexican warrior, Eduardo Ramirez, unfortunately sustained an injury. If he is fully recovered by August 12 he deserves to be on this card as a Co feature. Perhaps, against Adam Lopez.
