JEDDAH, KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA — Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim attended the Renewed Engagement for Enhanced Collaboration of the Islamic Development Bank's (IsDB) Muslim Communities Dialogue Meeting on 13-14 December 2023/02-03 Jumada Al-Akhirah 1445 AH.

The focus of the meeting was the enhancement of the scholarship program of the IsDB in the Bangsamoro region.

The IsDB is a global Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) that works to enhance the lives of the people it serves by fostering social and economic progress in its member nations and among Muslim communities around the globe.

MARAWI CITY — Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim visited the victims of the blast inside Dimaporo Gymnasium in Mindanao State University (MSU) Main Campus during a Christian Mass yesterday on Monday, 20 Jumada Al-Awwal 1445 AH/4 December 2023, to offer support and comfort during this time.

The Bangsamoro Government, through the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) and the Ministry of Health (MOH), provided urgent financial and medical assistance to the victims and their families following yesterday’s incident.

The Chief Minister assures the victims of the blast that the government is ready to assist them in this tragic event and that BARMM will do everything to bring justice.

The Chief Minister was joined by Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr., Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal Alonto Adiong Jr., MSU-Marawi's former president and incumbent Director of the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency of the Philippines Ricardo de Leon, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Romeo Saturnino Brawner Jr., Maguindanao del Norte Governor Abdulraof Macacua, and members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament.

𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧!

It has come to the attention of this Ministry that a certain individual on Facebook going by the name "Fahima Salik tv" is spreading a fake quote card of Minister Atty Naguib Sinarimbo. This individual has a history of spreading fake quote cards and other slanderous claims about the Ministry and Minister Sinarimbo.

For the record, neither this Ministry nor any Bangsamoro Government official ever said these heinous things about our Christian brothers and sisters.

The Ministry of the Interior and Local Government of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao would like to remind everyone that intentionally distributing false information or making libelous statements is illegal, and perpetrators will face legal consequences.

It is disheartening that some would take advantage of such heinous acts of terrorism and spend their time disseminating disinformation rather than spreading messages of unity in the pursuit of justice for all.

Be assured that the MILG, through its regional and provincial offices, is coordinating operations with the local governments in Marawi City and Lanao del Sur.

𝗦 𝗧 𝗔 𝗧 𝗘 𝗠 𝗘 𝗡 𝗧 of the MILG Minister Atty Naguib G Sinarimbo on the MSU Marawi Gymnasium Bombing

December 3, 2023

We condemn in the strongest possible terms the inhumane bombing inside the Mindanao State University - Marawi City Dimaporo Gymnasium while our peace-loving Christian brothers and sisters were attending Sunday Mass.

During Mindanao Week of Peace, an attack on a religious gathering within an academic institution is just an act of sheer terror that claimed the lives of three individuals and injured at least nine more.

We denounce this heinous act of terrorism.

We demand justice for the victims of the Marawi MSU bombing. We pray that this incident does not jeopardize our efforts to maintain peace in Mindanao and does not taint the progress of the peace process in the Bangsamoro.

We call on the members of the community to remain calm but vigilant as thorough investigations are being conducted by our security sector.

Our sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
