As the elections draw near, a significant development has emerged in CIT: SAVE, the once-prominent contender, is conspicuously absent from the candidate lineup. Delving deeper into the matter reveals that last year's election saw SAVE faltering, unable to field any executive candidates—a telling sign of its waning influence after a prolonged presence in CIT politics.
Initially, it seemed almost inevitable that UNITED would step in to fill the void left by SAVE, poised to claim ownership of the Student Supreme Government (SSG) uncontested. However, the unexpected emergence of a new party, JUST, has disrupted this anticipated narrative. Interestingly, JUST appears to be spearheaded by a former SAVE member, hinting at a potential rebranding or restructuring within the SAVE camp. Another question would be whether or not this party is competent at all, or will it be another disappointment.
Adding another layer of intrigue, the presidential candidate of UNITED happens to hail from SAVE, further blurring the lines between the two entities. It begs the question: is this election merely a proxy conflict for the remnants of SAVE, now operating under different banners?
This unfolding saga promises to be a captivating spectacle, offering insights into the evolving dynamics of CIT's political landscape. Stay tuned for in-depth analysis and updates as the election drama unfolds.
