Here is the ranking of forest areas in Southeast Asian countries. Laos and Brunei have the highest percentage of total forest area, with 82.10% and 72.11%, respectively. However, Singapore and the Philippines have the lowest, with 23.06% of the forest area in Singapore and 26.06% of the total forest in the Philippines.

In the case of the Philippines, in the last decades, we have seen a decline in the forest areas of our country. This is worrisome, and so we have to take action. Start by planting trees in our backyards, and avoid unnecessary tree cutting. We have to protect our environment, not just for our own benefits but also for the next generation.

Matatandaang sumali ang Pilipinas sa Paralympic Games noong 1988 nang ito ay ginanap sa Seoul, South Korea. Mayroong apat na atleta na kumatawan sa bansa sa larangan ng athletics at swimming. Bigo man sa una nitong edisyon ay nagsilbi naman itong inspirasyon para lalo pang pag-igihan ng bansa ang pagkamit ng medalya sa Paralympics sa sumunod nitong pagsali noong taong 2000 sa Sydney.

PAGCOR chair Alejandro Tengco announces Carlos Yulo’s coach and trainer Allen Aldrin Castañeda from Hippodromo in Cebu City will be awarded half of Yulo’s mandated incentive for his double Olympic gold medal win.

Mr. Yulo will receive P20-M, 10-M per gold, and his coach and trainer will receive a total of P10-M 💪

Filipina golfer Dottie Ardina spoke up about the lack of uniforms for the golf team during the Paris Olympics 2024.

Ardina detailed how they arrived in Paris without official uniforms and equipment. The uniforms that arrived late were in the wrong sizes and designs, forcing them to improvise.

“Bakit parang ako pa ang binaliktad? Ginamit na lamang naming ang dala naming sariling plain shirts at dahil meron naman dalang flag patches ang teammate ko, binigyan niya lang ako ng isang piraso na nililipat ko araw araw sa gagamitin kong shirts,” she wrote in her post on Tuesday.

Ardina shared that she posted the video out of frustration. She opened up about how they felt unsupported during the international competition.

“Sana lang ay hindi na po maulit ang mga nangyari. Sana magbago ang patakbo… Sana wala ng Philippine Team at atletang Pilipino ang magmukhang busabos at kawawa,” she said.
