4Ps BENEFICIARIES (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) ARE NOT THE PRIORITY IN DEPEDβS RANKING SYSTEM FOR HIRING TEACHERS.
DepEdβs ranking process is based on DepEd Order No. 7, s. 2015, which does not explicitly mention prioritizing 4Ps beneficiaries in the hiring process. However, subsequent communications and memoranda indicate that 4Ps beneficiaries may receive priority under certain conditions.
Some DepEd divisions may give extra points to 4Ps beneficiaries under the Social Criteria category, which prioritizes applicants from indigent families. However, this is not a national policy and depends on local division guidelines.
Certain DepEd regional offices have issued memoranda prioritizing 4Ps beneficiaries in hiring for Teacher I positions. Here are some examples:
1. DepEd Region I
RM 1173, s. 2023: Prioritizes 4Ps beneficiaries who have passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) for Teacher I positions, subject to the minimum qualification requirements per DepEd Orders No. 7 and 22, series of 2015.
2. DepEd Region VIII
RM 807, s. 2023: Provides an updated list of 4Ps beneficiaries who passed the LET, indicating a focus on these individuals for potential hiring.
These regional initiatives align with the government's broader efforts to support 4Ps beneficiaries by providing employment opportunities in the education sector.
Therefore, while 4Ps beneficiaries are not explicitly prioritized in the national hiring guidelines, they may receive consideration under specific circumstances, particularly when they meet residency requirements or are included in priority lists provided by regional offices.
