: Throwback Photos of Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City with Ian Jay Cabusao.

Ah yes. Friday. The last day of the weekend. I was with my bike and I thought of having selfies while biking as I am going to work. While biking, I was wondering if I can take photos at the stretch of Osmeña Boulevard.

I thought of taking photos down the road since it was a Holy Week, and the roads are nearly empty since it is a holiday.

I felt like a tourist as I took photos of half-empty roads of former "Jones Avenue", from Capitol down to junction P. Del Rosario Street.

While I took photos, I realize how a green Cebu City it was. Pine trees that are planted at the center island, painted in a yellow color. I could simply say those was the most beautiful scenery. Can you imagine a livable city with these trees that are everywhere at the heart of the Queen City of the South.

Now Osmeña Boulevard will not be the same anymore. I am glad that by chance, I have taken photos of it. Everything will remain as history.

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL ON MCAC 801

I made a short video of MCAC 801 of Metro Cebu Autobus Corporation. As we all know this was assigned to the newest route Cebu South Bus Terminal - Pinamungajan via San Fernando (Luknay) last January 2024.

I have discovered a lot as I am riding this bus. Blilb jud ko sa mga tawo nga naginitiate aning ruta kay sa tinuod lang, puno-puno ang mga pasahero ang nisakay ani. Bilib sad kaayo ko sa bus driver kay he managed to traverse the steepy, narrow and sharp-curved road going to its destination. There are a lot of people said that this bus is a worth to ride on and they are really grateful that for the first time, there was a bus plying to a mountinous part of San Fernando going to Pinamungajan, and this is Metro Cebu Autobus Corporation.

To those who want to take a ride on this bus, the fare rate is PHP107.00 on a one way trip. This bus will be on standby at 7:00 AM at Cebu South Bus Terminal and leaves at 8:00 AM for Pinamungajan and arrives to its destination at 10:00 AM. This will be a 2-hour fun ride for those who are fond on traveling.

: Sarimanok Airlines: Fly with Colors!

Mga prikssss, this fictional plane art posting is supposed to be done every Friday of the month, but due to unforseen circumstances like my personal appointments and non-profitable projects for social medias, I was not able to make a post.

Moving on mga priks, so this is it, as much as I do, I am posting plane arts to be able to know more about the world of planes and aviation things.

I came on a post from some social medias about the pinoy movie, and mentioning Sarimanok Airlines. Without further ado, I immediately reached out to my laptop to make some designs for the livery of Sarimanok Airlines.

As we all know, Sarimanok is a legendary bird and a symbol of Maranao art. I was mesmerized by its colors of its feathers. By this, I searched on the internet on what will be its details and how will I portray it to my livery for the aircraft that I chose.

So this is the main part. I was not able to make liveries right away since it took a hard time for me to make a design inspired by sarimanok. It took me some 4 couple of daya to come up with this.

So what I did is I make some feather-like design with a curly tip that will portray my theme. I also used blue, cyan, magenta and yellow for the colors. Other details were made and I made it to my final output.

For the aircraft I used Boeing 747-8i to represent my fictional airline conpany. Details are indicated on the picture.

: Silhig Airlines: Easy to ride, it's very fine!

Bruuuh, It's me again, trying to immerse with the planes and aviation things, but this time I wanted to continue making fictional plane art as of now.

Now this gives me a brilliant idea to create a fictional airline company called Silhig Airlines, as this was sang by our King of Visayan Song, Max Surban. I was listening to YouTube at that time when this song was played randomly.

I immediately reached out to my old, very laggy and soon to be replaced laptop to create a livery on a fictional airline company, Silhig Airlines.

Now what comes to my mind if I will create a livery? It's simple. The broom fiber or "silhig lanot" in Visayan term. This is typically used to swipe all the dust and any dirt on our floors in our home or office.

When I saw my own silhig lanot in the corner of my room, I saw its red and green color design so I used that to the livery.

It took me several hours to create its livery and this is the result. The empennage was designed similar to a broom and its like its swaying with the wind. The broom holder is colored blue livery which is passing through the side of the fuselage.

Anyways I used the Airbus A320 NEO as the representation of my fictional airline company. Details are indicated on the photo below.

: Visayan Air: Fly With Confidence!

Bruuuh, believe it or not, I am not really a fan of airplanes, as I am into bus and ships. But because there is something that changed my perspective on airplanes, I will let myself try to immerse on airplanes and all about aviation industry.

On that certain moment, we were tasked to create an airline company. The airline company should have the specifics as given by our leader. Timeframe of creating an airline should be within 2 hours. So, as me having a talent on digital graphics designer (well that does not fit me since i have only limited applications to use), I dared to accept the challenge.

For the logo, I used the Visayas Bus Pitik logo since this is an appropriate theme for the airline company. Of course the Eagle presented on the logo matches the theme of my airline company which is "to fly and glide". Besides 2 hours is a short timeframe to create a logo so I chose Visayas Bus Pitik to speed up my worktask.

Fun fact: Visayas Bus Pitik logo was made by me, as it was proposed with the person from a fellow bus enthusiast on other area.

For the type of plane, I chose the Boeing 737 Max 8. I dunno why I came up to that but you know, I wanted to visualize my livery on that plane.

I have presented a presentation to my leader, but this is not the one I have presented since this is a revised version of the original version I have made.

After the presentation, I was not contented of the livery I have created, thats why I decided to revise the design, and I came up to this final product.

Within the outskirts of the mountain barangay at Toledo City you can spend your vacation away from the bustling stressful city.

RLO Farm has a mini zoo which you can see ostriches, monkeys, horses, gamefowl farm, and many more. The centerpiece of the farm is that it has a swimming pool for children and adults, with karaoke and grillroom, and hey, there's a peso wifi in which you can insert coin and can connect to the internet. Also, there is also a mini-playground and a heart-shaped seats in which you can relax and do your best selfies!

Entrance fee is PHP20 pesos and visotors are not allowed to bring any alcoholic drinks inside the premises.

CONVERSION OF A LANDMARK

-One of the landmarks seen beside the Plaza Independencia is the Malacañang Sa Sugbo, in which it formerly serves as the official residence of the Republic of the Philippines in the Visayas.
-It was originally built as Aduana (Customs) in 1910 to house the Bureau of Customs office of the Port of Cebu.
-This building is now restored and converted as the National Museum and it will be open to the public starting August 1, 2023.
