This season has been one hell of a ride for the purple and gold.

After having a miserable start to the season and going as many as 8 games under .500 this season, a lot were quick to write off our Lakers. Starting the year at 2-10, they were projected to have a 0.3% chance in making the playoffs.

Lakeshow spent most of the season at the bottom ranks in the West and struggled to put up a string of wins.

Trade deadline came and our Lakers were still 13th in the West. Rob Pelinka went to work and made some moves. It was a completely different look from the roster earlier in the season. And it proved to be worth it.

After the addition of Rui Hachimura, D'Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, and Mo Bamba, our Lakers finished with the 3rd best record (18-9) after the trade deadline. And still managed to have an 8-6 record despite LeBron James missing 13 consecutive games.

This propelled us to a 7th-seed finish (43-39) at the end of the regular season. They took care of business in the play-in to secure a first round matchup with the 2nd-seed Grizzlies and took care of it in 6 games.

Next up, the defending champs. Lakers-Warriors definitely lived up to the hype with Steph vs. Bron having another duel in the playoffs. Bron and AD led the way along with Lonnie Walker IV and Austin Reaves having major contributions to help our Lakers finish the champs in 6 games.

Now we're up against the best team in the West this season led by one of the best centers in the game, Nikola Jokic. It's gonna be another tough matchup against this deep Nuggets team.

No team has ever came back from a 0-3 deficit, but it isn't impossible. They didn't expect us to be here. So we’ll keep fighting.

The King ain't done yet.
