Operation Deep South to Starship hospital
COMPLETED!!

With the amazing help from the Sis at SM Seafood Boils Auckland We where able to bring a small bit of comfort and take a bit of financial strain off a young family facing a difficult time.

Miles away from home but in the best place for treatment mum & son where flown to Starship hospital without much notice.

I know our delivery was much needed & appreciated immensely. 💝

Hospital stays carry a huge financial cost to family's from out of town. Food, parking just to name a few.

I want to thank my siSTAR Rach & whanau for offering to support me thru this bcuz s**t did they make it HAPPEN!!

Hey bro
So from the start it was last year 2023 August i had just moved into my new home,the 2nd night here i felt a tightening in my chest and thought it was a strain from all the heavy moving i had done,so i was taken to hospital,them buggers didnt check me over properly so this is where the start of my heart problems occured!

Later on after this in November 2023 i went to the doctors for a health check up,found out i was a bit over weight for my height and age so i joined the gym,things were going really well,at the start of my gym journey i was 104kgs i wasnt happy! So i got my eating right started doing alot more cardio to burn more fat,this is when my past eating habits were slowly creeping up on me!

So come Xmas and New Years 2023 i went to Whitianga area for xmas with the whanau,we ate some good kai as you would over the holiday period,then come start of the new year work starting and tryna get back into that gym and eating healthy lifetsyle again! I had goten my weight down to 84kgs by this time so it was good!

Then on 13th Feb 2024 i was at the gym working out when Bang!! I fell over onto my head leaving a huge bump,i had a Cardiac Arrest! Came to find out all my years recently as us Maori do we love to eat our kai Boil Ups Mutton Birds Takeaways,so much with Butter and Salt involved which were the main causes of my incident!

I spent 2weeks in HB hospital 1 week in Wellys hospital,they placed a Stent in a blocked artery of mine on my Heart which helps the flow of oxygen to my heart!

Fast forward to now im back to full health chopping out alot of what i use to eat!! My mental health took a little beating but i wasnt scared at all! Everyone was happy for me,everyone was glad i was back,rehab all done.

Thats when 1 day i was scrolling through Facebook,seen this logo You Good Bro? I thought dam! I resignate to this wording so bad i had to make contact with the owner!! Since my incident my bros and family have been giving me this saying to make sure im Happy and still the same old Son they have known me to be and i sure am Bro! I love the Logo and am proud to represent it to the fullest!

Thanx to my new friend for letting me wear and be doing what i love doing a bita modeling staying healthy and happy.
