Best Documentary Short, Nepal -
Yatra.
Director LSM and Sahayog Raj Adhikari.
Jury Citation:

An exploration of sexuality and gender dysphoria, told through a blending of non-fiction, experimental and reconstructed fiction filmmaking. A very clear human rights theme. This is a difficult subject to handle and many films struggle to move past the issue at a superficial level. However, Sahayog takes the time to develop the relationships between the filmmaker and his subjects. The film offers genuine, authentic human experience on a deeper level. The cinematography is beautiful, and cleverly uses ti:3 aspect ratio, and black and white for reconstruction sequences. The jury especially enjoyed the experimental filming sequences throughout the film. The soundscape is clean and well controlled. The jury felt that the editing was very strong, with good pacing of the story.

Delighted to have hosted Doc Talk last weekend with the support of Film Independent at CDC Cinemas.

What a privilege it was for us to have Pranay Limbu and Prasuna Dongol and present your remarkable and poignant films. Thank you also to our moderators Sewa Ditee and Shuvangi Khadka for enabling such heartfelt discussions.

We were overjoyed to screen short films by Pratibha , Angela, Pushpa, Samrat, Shrisha, Mira, Asmita, Deepa, Shuvangi, Sahayog and LSM. You are the future of Nepali docs.
