Radio Nigeria Atlantic 104.5FM Uyo is one of the 32 FM projects conceived by the Federal Government to disseminate information to the grassroots. Location: It is located at Nsukara Offot, along Nwaniba dual carriage way, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Frequency: Atlantic FM transmits on 104.5 megahertz on the frequency modulated band (FM) stereo. Reach: It covers 150 Kilometres radius received by about 7M
illion listeners spread across Akwa Ibom, parts of Cross River, Rivers, Abia, Imo and Anambra States as well as parts of Republic of Cameroun. Strength: 20 Kilometre transmitters with the state of the art digital equipment producing clear reception quality, highly disciplined and talented professionals . Programmes: Atlantic FM programmes are broadcast in English, Vernacular and pidgin, cutting across entertainment, News, Politics, sports economy, women and children, drama, religion, Agriculture etc. Commencement: The station started test transmission on the 1st February, 2011, commenced partial transmission on March 1st 2011 with music based programmes spiced with chit-chat on various issues. Atlantic FM, Uyo commenced full broadcast on April 1st, 2013 starting each day by 5.30am and closes at midnight except on Fridays and Saturdays where the station closes by 1a.m.
