AKWA IBOM 2022 APC HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ASPIRANTS MEET... Strategize for 2023

Thirty of the APC members who aspired to be in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly had met earlier today at Mew Point Hotel, Uyo to chart a way forward for themselves.
Declaring the forum officially opened today, the Co-Chairman of the forum, Comrade Ndiana Okon Asuquo said the reason for the forum was to contribute enormously to the politics of Akwa Ibom State in 2023 since every member of the group has what it takes to do so.

The Nsit Ibom born politician said that it was very painful for the APC chieftains, especially those angling to become one thing or the other in the party to look down on them.
His words: "We are not happy the way we are treated. We bought forms which cost two million naira each to contest for House of Assembly, the primaries were not held, and tickets were dashed to selected few in each of the State constituencies, yet nobody deems it necessary to talk to us. We are angry, and we're ready to take our destinies into our own hands. We are tired of pacifying our teeming supporters, yet we ourselves are not pacified."

Each member of the group had been tasked to mobilize his supporter in preparation for "a big political statement", Hon. Idorenyin Thompson who aspired to represent Etinan State constituency told the press after the inaugural meeting.

Meanwhile, Contact and Mobilization Committee headed by the Co-chairman Thomas Thomas and assisted by Hon. Idorenyin Thompson had been set up by the forum. The Committee which mandate was to ensure that all House of Assembly aspirants who have not gone to court or defected to any party and their supporters should be brought into the fold also has Comrade Ini Inyang and Hon. Mfon Ekerette as members.

President Buhari Wants All APC Aspirants To Work Together For The Party's Victory.

The very way to solidifying the party as we just towards 2023.

Indeed this initiative is worthy of commendation and further will cement the chances of the party during the upcoming elections, President Muhammadu Buhari is quite away of the process of reconciliation and the possible oiling of the political strength of the APC as regards the unity of purpose.

I salute this structural campaign formation and believing those who are parading the streets of the nation in OBIdience to nothing are quite away too that winning an election is no noise making but a grand standing ideology, strategy and tactics.

Noisemakers should rethink and get straight to the drawing board to consult widely.

"Please stop deliberately misleading our Youths. Any Nigerian who was smart enough to invest a mere N1.8m in Apple Corporation shares in 1980, will be worth more than N10 Trillion today.

Our Youths are deliberately being misled by those who never saw a million dollars until they got into public office or became banking executives and started stealing.

A $1,000 daily basic travel allowance of a good business executive in 1990, invested into Apple Corporation shares, is today worth at least $2.5 million dollars.

Some of us still alive today, received per diem of $1000 per day, locally and abroad in the private sector in the 1990s. I bought my first computer and professional IT Tools, outrightly with such per diem in 1986.

Call a thief a thief. Let rogues call themselves rogues, without using the collective "we are all rogues". Those who imported Tokunbo cars for $5,000 or new cars with $10,000 in 1990 to show off, instead of investing in Apple shares for example, should not assume all today's wave-making multi-billionaires in politics and business, are rogues like them.

Please tell the youths the truth. I Asiwaju Tinubu was a millionaire in dollars as a NADECO chief at least 10 years before I became the governor of Lagos State. Let others openly declare the sources of their billions.

The reality today is still that creative and very intelligent youths will still earn allowances in dollars without needing to lie as internet trolls. As liars they will only lose credibility and respect, as they grow older. Let the 2023 Presidential campaigns be on issues and not lies".

Jonathan camp speaks on $9bn judgment against Nigeria on Friday 17th Aug, makes revelations against Buhari, cabal

The camp of former president, Goodluck Jonathan has accused Buhari administration of trying to make a case against former President Goodluck Jonathan by claiming that he is responsible for the $9 billion judgment against Nigeria in the United Kingdom in a case brought against the nation by Messrs P & ID.

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, in a statement on Saturday, said the attempt to rewrite history will backfire.

Omokri said part of the filings regarding the case read: “P&ID submits that it entered a gas supply and processing agreement with Nigeria’s Ministry of Petroleum Resources in January 2010. Pursuant to the agreement, P&ID claims that it would build the necessary facilities and then refine natural gas into non associated natural gas for a period of 20 years.”

According to him: “Now, Nigerians should stop there and ponder. This transaction occurred in January of 2010. Former President Jonathan was not President in January 2010. During that time, he was completely shut out of power by an unelected cabal that ran Nigeria during the period of the ill health of the late President Yar’adua, before the National Assembly courageously intervened on February 9, 2010.

“That cabal not only fought against the ascension of then Vice President Jonathan to the office of acting President, but went beyond that to take documents, including budgets and contracts, to Saudi Arabia, and claimed that the then ailing President Umaru Musa Yar’adua had signed them.

“Nigerians may recall that the cabal announced on December 28, 2009 that the ailing President Yar’adua had signed a supplementary budget and other documents from his sick bed in Saudi Arabia, without the foreknowledge or acquiescence of then Vice President Jonathan or the Executive Council of the Federation.
