PLATEAU MONARCH VISITS ATTAH IGALA.
HRM Johnson Pozoh Magaji II, The Ujah Anaguta of Jos North, Plateau State has visited the Attah Igala, HRM Agabaidu Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche, in his palace on Wednesday, ahead of the ceremony of official presentation of staff of office by the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh Yahaya Bello, to Attah Igala, HRM Agabaidu Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, on Friday March 4, 2022.

The Anaguta King who was visibly happy was warmly welcomed by Chief Sylvester Onoja who is the chairman of the Central Planning Committee of the staff of office presentation, other palace and installation committee members including Amb Ayegba Abdullahi Adojoh who is the General Ambassador of Attah Igala and Secretary of Diaspora Igala committee.

At the meeting with Attah Igala, Ujah expressed delight for been back in Idah, his home, adding that Igala Kingdom and Anaguta people are one. Stating that he came earlier in order to see Attah one on one before the event, he congratulated the Attah on his ascension to the throne of his ancestors. HRM Pozoh equally commended the efforts of Amb Ayegba for the continuous research and reconnection of Igala people worldwide, the regular posting of his research results on social media to educate thousands of people, and that he should be supported by all Igala people to allow him continue the laudable project.

He finally appealed to Agabaidu Opaluwa to continue the project of the discovery and reconnection of Igala Nation Worldwide, and to “expand” his umbrella wider to accommodate everyone of Igala root or related with Igala.

In his response, the Attah welcomed the Ujah Anaguta and thanked him for the visit and prayers, and assured him of the continuation of the Igala Research, Discovery and Reconnection Project of Attah Igala through his Ambassador in order to bring all Igala people under one umbrella in a united form irrespective of their present locations, languages or colour of their skin. He further prayed for the King and his Anaguta kingdom, and that both kingdoms have established a strong and inseparable bond already, adding that both the title “Ujah” and the name of the people “Anaguta” are Igala words associated with warriors.

The President Jos North Local Government Traditional Council and the Ujah Anaguta Pozoh Johnson Jauro Magaji has appealed to the inhabitants of Jos North to shelve their sword and toe the path of peace and peaceful coexistence.

The Ujah Anaguta made this appeal in a statement against the backdrop of the unfortunate incident that occurred in some part of Jos North Local Government Area at the weekend.

The royal father assured the people of Jos North that the traditional council will soon engage relevant stakeholders in the peace building process in order to restore confidence, create stability and ensure peaceful coexistence in the locality.

He called on residents of Jos North not to take the laws into their hands stressing that security agencies are working round the clock to restore normalcy all parts of Jos North LGA.

The Ujah Anaguta commiserated with the families of the victims, the government and people of plateau state over the unfortunate incident and called for restraint and calm
