I often ask people, “What have you done in the past few months since things got this bad?" The answer is usually "nothing."

Have you done anything to turn things around? It's common to receive "no."

It's somewhat ridiculous!

If their phone displays "low battery,” they will immediately jump into panic mode, looking for their phone charger to prevent the phone from shutting off.

Yet some people sit back and

- WATCH THEIR LIVES CRUMBLE

- WATCH THEIR BUSINESSES FAIL

- WATCH THEIR MIND DIE

Consider all areas of your life with the same attention that you give your gadgets.

Ask for help, and make sure you are the type of person who should be helped.

Go for training and ensure you're trained.

With a little more attention, progress is assured.

It always seems to connect with my mental condition when I hear it. Nothing should be able to stop you.

The slogan serves more as a motivational saying than a rule for 2024.

Sensibly, you should know where you ought to gree; otherwise, you will be taught how to gree by force.

I stand with you! No gree for anybody!

It's usual to hear prospects say I will get back to you when they reach out to you about a business deal.

What should you say in response to the above feedback in marketing?

You should tell them,

You know what, Mr. Prospect? I rarely hear from people when they tell me, "I will get back to you."

What would it take for you and I to do business today?

You need to ask them this question!

Most times, after asking such a question, you see the prospect open up to you.

I need this particular type of product.

I prefer this colour to the other colour.

The price is a bit high.

I haven't used this product before.

I need to be guaranteed.

I need to talk to someone first.

Or I need some references.

When they open up to you, go straight to solving the problem they have mentioned.

For instance,

Your response to “the price is a bit high” could be that I will give you a payment plan. Can you pay three times?

You should intentionally engage them.

OR YOU CAN SAY,

You know what, Mr. Prospect? I rarely hear from people when they tell me, "I will get back to you."

Are you trying to reject my service in a polite manner?

Why don't you want to buy from me? Be honest, Sir/Ma.

Is it the term? Is it the price? Is it the amount?

What part of the deal don't you like?

Even if you don't want to buy from me, let's discuss this deal. You must not buy from me anyway.

Tell me, what don't you like about the business?

Then the prospect may say, Well, the price of the service is a little bit high?

Your response,

Oh! Let's talk about the price. What if I offer some sort of payment plan? You can pay by installment. Would you be okay with that?

What if I gave you better terms?

What if we supply the product in batches, which gives you room to pay in fragments?

You have to remember that sales are all about the buyer. And they lie at times to reject your product or service.

They might have inquired about other services, but they won't tell you.

There's actually a lot of resistance in marketing. You need to persist and find a way to sell to prospects.

Sometimes all you need to close a deal is to ask a few questions.

Dear kinsman,

I'm writing to you again today in fulfilment of my promise to share with you weekly thoughts that will help you succeed in life.

You know me as a patriotic Nigerian who has always had faith in our great nation. You remember how I discouraged you from travelling to the United States of America because I wanted us to be among the people who would build Nigeria.

However, it seems that we can't withstand this human-induced hardship anymore. 2,000 units of Nigerian currency can't buy three litres of fuel. Many people can't help but spend more than they earn, given the state of the country right now.

It's high time you gave your travelling dream another go. And this time, I will stand by you and support you. The Naira is freely falling for the Dollar, and there's no hope of rising in the near future.

A look at the educational sector leaves one hopeless and pessimistic. We have to take control of our destiny and make a plan for the future.

Until I write to you again, know that I'm with you at every step. Be diligent, and never lose confidence in yourself. You will eventually win.

Hello Onyedika!

I was calling the electrician since the light was not working anymore.

Alright, I'll drop by later today. He answered, “I think the fault is with the fuse box.

He arrived at approximately 3:00pm and fixed the light. I'm a friendly person by nature. Being my electrician, he came to chat with me in the living room.

He talked to me about his success, his academic future, and his career trajectory. I went into my study at one point to retrieve a book for him. To be sincere with you, sir, I can't read this book.

I don't know how to start reading this book, much less how to finish it, he said.

Meanwhile, the book is a little more than 500 pages long. I often read this book once a year to keep up with my English-speaking proficiency.

Listen, lasting success demands knowledge. In actuality, generational wealth creation can't occur without knowledge and an unwavering desire for information.

Dangote, Otedola, Elumelu, Rabiu and others in their class pay those who have the knowledge to establish and run their businesses and industries.

Have a passion to learn new things constantly. It's one of the prices people you admire pay.

I'm among those individuals who think that success is not rocket science.

Like English or Chinese, it can also be learned.

In the study of success, we believe that accidents of time, place, and birth, as well as the concept of “accumulative advantage,” matter. But they can't override the proven principles of success.

I gave a young lady my book, “Mind Shift,” because she recognises the principle of support as a path to success, rather than because she asked for it.

Other people who wanted me to gift them the book sent me messages requesting a copy. But I didn't give them based on my values and personal experiences.
