GOVERNOR JIGAWA STATE.
SPEAKING ANNIVERSARY DAY TODAY.
Auzu billahi Minasshadanin Rajiin, Bismillahi Rahmani Raheeem.
My fellow citizens of Jigawa, today marks exactly 30 years since the creation of our dear state and it is my pleasure and privilege once again address and felicitate with you as we witness another milestone in our history. As we reflect on the journey which started on the 27th of August 1991, I want to implore all of us to reflect on the
abundant blessings the Almighty has endowed on our state and use the opportunity to thank Allah S WT and reaffirm our commitments the spirit of brotherhood and selflessness that has characterized our growth and progress so far. Instead of reeling out the numerous achievements and developmental strides in the course of our statehood I want to use this opportunity to acknowledge and thank the good people of Jigawa for their resilience and adherence to civic responsibility and to especially recognize the hard work and dedication put in by its previous leadership from the 1st military administrator in the person of late Major General Olayinka Sule, to Governor Ali Sa,adu Birnin Kudu,Late Brigadier general Ibrahim Aliyu, Colonel Rashid Shikoni retired, Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Maimalari retired,His Excellency Governor Ibrahim Saminu Turaki and my immediate predecessor His Excellency Alhaji Sule Lamido. Each and every one of them without exception has done his best in contributing to the shaping of present day Jigawa, and I pray that Allah showers his mercy on those of them that have passed on, and for good health and continued wisdom to those still with us and continuing to contribute in one way or the other to our progress and development.
I also want to express my profound appreciation to their Royal Highneses the Emirs of Hadejia, Kazaure, Gumel,Ringim, and Dutse, the 5 permanent pillars of the State from which every Administrator and Governor has drawn inspiration, guidance and fatherly a
