Knocks Trail Viral Video Of Sanwo-Olu Watching Arsenal Match In Emirates Stadium
Netizens on Saturday, reacted to a viral video of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, watching Arsenal play at the Emirates Stadium in London.
Knocks have since begun to trail the video shared by a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and Publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu. Sanwo-Olu came under massive heat for what the critics termed his 'promoting and investing in another country' instead of his.
An Instagram user, abbey_7240, said, "Nigeria's professional league is dead, all our stadiums are moribund, yet our political leaders derive joy in promoting and investing in another country's revenue generation and employment."
Another user, wulfpak_mo. Said, โUna go Dey enjoy wetin other politicians do for their country but una no fit do am for una country. Shame on all of you!
Muyiwasami wrote, "Nigeria is on fire, and our leaders are doing what they know how to do best... waste resources. How does going to watch this match help Lagos State or the country?"
Daultimateboi wrote, "When was the last time he went to any Nigerian stadium to watch our league... And yet he left Nigeria, and I am very sure he will not be alone with his entourage again to watch the Arsenal match in London."
94eaststudios, "Nigeria Professional League is not dead o... Not anywhere as good as the Premiership; but it's getting better. I was shocked to see the quality of Remo Stars Stadium in a place like Ikenne. Private investors are pouring billions into the league. Things are improving."
Recosima said, "See him happy watching at a clean and well-maintained stadium ๐
why canโt you do the same in Lagos?"
