BT Options is the publisher of Explore Sri Lanka, Business Today, Serendib – the inflight magazine of SriLankan Airlines, Domus Sri Lanka and Time Out Sri Lanka (print and digital). Domus Sri Lanka is the Sri Lankan edition of the Italian architectural publication Domus and Time Out Sri Lanka is a member of the global Time Out network. We were also the publisher of Style, the revolutionary Sinhala magazine for women.
With over 30 years’ experience in the publishing industry in Sri Lanka, BT Options has been the first in many areas in the country. With an extensive distribution network and strong sales team has enabled our publications, especially Explore Sri Lanka, which is our pioneering magazine established in 1987, to be market leaders in the respective subject areas.
BT Options is a registered, independent Sri Lankan company. Our young and dynamic team of 70 is headed by Mathi K Parthipan, Chairman/Managing Director.
Business Today is also synonymous with ‘Business Today TOP 10 Awards’, which has expanded to the Business Today TOP 30 recognises the top corporate performers in Sri Lanka at an annual ceremony. In 2017, we introduced a new segment, Business Today Passionate that recognized individuals who through their determination and creativity have brought recognition to Sri Lanka in the global sphere.
The Award Ceremony has been held over the years under the patronage of the Heads of State, President Chandrika Kumaratunga and President Mahinda Rajapaksa and more recently under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena. Other attendees of the event include, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, former Premier D M Jayaratne, Basil Rajapaksa, former Minister of Economic Development, Nimal Siripala de Silva, former Leader of the House and Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Management and Gotabaya Rajapaksa, former Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development.

BT Options continually invests in improving the quality of production and is equipped with state-of-the-art in house pre-press production facilities. Explore Sri Lanka, Business Today, Serendib, each have their own website, which are constantly updated with each issue. Time Out Sri Lanka and Domus Sri Lanka are hosted on the international platforms of the respective publications. All our magazines come in print form, however, we also recognised the importance of moving with new technology while valuing our traditions. As such all magazines are available on Apple App Store.

BT Options more recently entered the hospitality industry in Sri Lanka with three distinctive properties in Arugambay in the Southeast Coast of Sri Lanka. Paper Moon Kudils, a barefoot luxury hotel located near the popular surfing spot Whisky Point, is the first hotel by the company was opened on May 24, 2015. A beachside getaway made up of a cluster of cosy ‘Kudils’ that offer a simple way of life. On May 18, 2017, Arugambay Roccos was opened. It is a unique property that is minimalist in its approach but stylish in its offerings. Inspired by symmetry and clear lines, this cube-style resort is a one of a kind destination with beautiful views of the swimming pool, beach and ocean from the entrance of the property.
