Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives in Kilimani on sunday put a 25-year-old man behind bars as a suspect of a brutal murder of 33-year old woman.
The woman who was identified as Mwandikwa Kimwele, was found dead in Silanga area, Kibra. The detaectives found a a blood-stained kitchen knife which is suspected to be the murder weapon

So far 38 people have being confirmed dead, following the landslides in Nyarkulian and Parua villages in West Pokot County. Rift Valley Regional Coordinator George Natembeya said that 25 bodies have being recovered while the search of 13 bodies is still ongoing.
Ministry of Interior, Kenya Red Cross and the West Pokot County Government are some of the agencies that are leading the operations of finding the bodies of the missing people, and transporting the bodies to the Kapenguria Referral Hospital mortuary.
The landslides were as a result of the heavy rains on Saturday morning that saw 38 buried alive in Tapach and Parua in Pokot South, and from Tamkal in Pokot Central.

GOVERNMENT INTRODUCES DIGITAL OCCURRENCE BOOK AT POLICE STATIONS
As a plan to digitize service delivery to Kenyans, the government of Kenya has launched a digital Occurrence book commonly known as OB at police stations nationwide. Officers will be digitizing the incident reports which will ensure that all cases are on permanent record and cannot be edited. This move is expected to create transparency and accountability at police stations. The reports will be monitored by ward, county, regional commanders, Inspector General and other top commanders

JOSE MOURINHO APPOINTED AS THE NEW TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS HEAD COACH.
The former Manchester united Coach Jose Mourinho will be taking over as the new head coach of Tottenham Hotspur on a four year contract. Mourinho will be replacing Mauricio Pochettino, who was fired on Tuesday just six months after leading spurs to the Champions League final.
The club made the announcement Wednesday morning in a statement published on their website.

KENYAN, ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES MIGHT SUSPEND JUBA FLIGHTS
Kenyan and Ethiopian airlines have threatened to suspend Juba flights due to the increased rate of luggage theft.
South Sudan government spokesperson Michael Makuei said the two airlines plan to stop services to Juba because of increased customer’s complaints every now and then on luggage theft.
Juba international airport is often termed ‘unsystematic’ by clients.
South Sudanese Government is expected to meet with executives of the two airlines to discuss about the matter.

BABU OWINO TO FILE A CASE BARRING HELB FROM NAMING, SHAMING LOAN DEBTORS
The Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino will be moving to court to stop Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) from publishing names and photos of debtors in the local dailies. This is after public complains over the 30-day notice issued on Monday by HELB to Kenyans to service their loans otherwise they would be named and shamed and legal action taken against them.
Owino in a local tv interview dismissed the notice saying publishing the names and photos of Kenyans in newspapers would be right to privacy violation.
HELB on Monday stated that at least 85,000 Kenyans have failed to service a loan of Ksh.50 billion issued since 1975.

EACC DETECTIVES ARREST’S TRAFFIC OFFICERS WHO WERE CAUGHT TAKING BRIBES
Gun fire broke out on Wednesday morning between traffic police officers and anti-corruption detectives on the Kisumu-Kakamega highway. The detectives managed to nab police officers who are said to be harassing motorists and asking for bribes. This follows a day after EACC released a report that ranked the Kenya Police as one of the most corrupt institutions. The suspects are said to have opened fire, shooting in the air when the EACC detectives moved in on them.
The detectives returned fire, where one of their detectives was shot according to a local television report.

IMRAN OKOTH SWORN IN AS THE NEW KIBRA MP
ODM Imran Okoth was on Tuesday sworn into office as the new Member of Parliament in Kibra. Imran managed top the November 7th by election in Kibra, a seat that was heavily contested. He was sworn in by the National assembly speaker Justin Muturi.
He will taking over the position after his brother Ken Okoth succumbed to cancer on July this year.
Other candidate’s that contested for Kibra MP include, McDonald Mariga who had the support of jubilee party and came in second with 11,230 votes, followed by Eliud Owalo (ANC) with 5,275 votes. In fourth position was Khamisi Butichi (Ford Kenya) 260 votes.
In total there was of 24 candidates who hotly contested for the seat.

FOUR PEOPLE ARRESTED OVER THE MURDER OF SIX BOUNCER IN BUSIA.
Four suspects were arrested in Busia County in connection with the murder of six bouncers in Masebula village. According to Busia County Commissioner Jacob Narengo, the suspects include three men and a woman.
Mr. Narengo Called onto locals to provide more information on what transpired during the funeral of Mr Okoth when the residents turned on the bouncers, who apparently were hired for security.

NAROK STADIUM TO BE NAMED AFTER LATE OLE NTIMAMA
Narok Stadium is going to be named after the late Maasai politician Ole Ntimama, who passed away back in 2016. This is after the Maasai leaders requested the government to name the stadium after their late leader.
Sports CS Amina Mohamed, said Ole Ntimama fought for his tribesmen and their traditions, therefore it is befitting to name the facility after him. The stadium is going to be renovated to reach world class standards by the end of 2022.

POPE FRANCIS NAMES NEW BISHOP FOR THE ELDORET DIOCESE
Pope Francis appointed Rt. Rev. Dominic Kimengich as the new Bishop of Eldoret Diocese and Bishop of Kitale, Rt. Rev. Maurice Crowley, as the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese Consequently.
The appointment of Bishop Kimengich was officially made public in Rome on Saturday, November 16, 2019. In a letter that was was sent to the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) by the Apostolic Nuncio to Kenya, His Excellency Archbishop Bert van Megen.
Dominic appointment came after the death of Rt. Rev. Cornelius Korir in 2017
