Every Woman with a Leadership Vision Should Not Be Afraid to Go for What They Believe In- Hon. Sasha Wamae
Since the inception of the 2010 constitution, which has really put women on the map, I can say We have come a long way in terms of politics. We live in a patriarchal society, and politics has been seen for the most time as a men's affair. I vied for a women's representative position in 2022, and I can tell you in as much as it is a women's position, there are so many challenges we face as women. But so much has changed, and the electorate has a lot of faith in women's leadership. The numbers of women in political office keep increasing every electioneering year, and this shows that in this patriarchal society, we are slowly conditioning ourselves to women's leadership.
I want to encourage every woman with a leadership vision not to be afraid, for we have something to celebrate. As much as we are moving in baby steps, we are going somewhere.
Hon. Sasha Wamae, MCA Nyandarua County
