Users report that a notification to "upgrade" the app keeps appearing on screen, and does not resolve even after updating.
At the time of reporting, Meta, the parent company that owns Facebook is yet to release a statement regarding the application glitch.
The message notification on the app reads:
"You are using an unsupported version of Facebook lite. Update to the latest version"

Kibor, a prominent political-cum-business figure who rose from humble beginnings died yesterday at St.Luke's hospital in Eldoret.
Prior to his death, Mzee Jackson Kibor had been living on medical oxygen since October 2020 after he contracted COVID-19.
Mzee shall be remembered as a man who influenced many through both his business and lifestyle.

No S*X for Bodaboda Riders In Mombasa As S*x Workers Blacklist Them In Solidarity With A Female Motorist Who Was S*xually Assaulted in Nairobi-
Mombasa s*x workers will not offer s*xual services to bodaboda riders in the county after a female motorist was s*xually harrased last week in Nairobi causing public ouproar.
A charity based orgarnisation dubbed Nikoko Injuu Africa that champions for the rights of s*x workers in Mombasa says in solidarity with the female motorist , their members will not be offering s*xual services to bodaboda riders nor be using their means of transport for the next 7 days.
“These people are our clients, but from today, no registered s*x worker will offer s*xual services to any bodaboda rider. If a member is found with a bodaboda client within the period, she will be deregistered,” Said Nikoko Injuu Executive Director Director Maryline Laini
She added that refusing boda-boda riders s*xual services was one way of pressing the local authorities to offer justice for women who are subjected to s*xual assault in public spaces.

UPDATE:
Kisii University administration has recalled all students who had been suspended from the institution on October to resume studies from January 25th,2022.
The second year students had been suspended for demonstrating against the move by the institution to increase fees.
Upon resuming, the students are expected to have zero fee balance and sign an agreement that would ensure they 'conduct themselves well' henceforth.

Ugandan government agrees to free 18 Kenyans in exchange for one fake ugandan police.
The fisherman had been arrested earlier for trespassing ugandan waters at lake Victoria.
In a twist of events, an alleged ugandan officer was tricked and nabbed by local fisherman at the same lake who pounded on him thoroughly.
The officer was rescued by Kenyan officials but it was later confirmed that he wasn't a member of the Ugandan police force despite wearing police uniform.

Man burns inside his Subaru car in Buruburu
Residents of Buruburu phase 5 estate on Wednesday woke up to a gruesome scene of a man burnt to death inside a vehicle.
What baffled the residents was that the body of the unidentified victim was well placed on the driver’s seat. Only the cars interior was burnt with the exterior completely clean.
Buruburu SCPC Adamson Bungei said they were currently treating it as a fire incident and the remains were of a male adult.
“As of now we cannot divulge much and we can only treat it as a fire incident and once we finish the various investigations, we are following then we can know what transpired, but for now it is a fire incident,” Bungei told *Campus voice* on the phone.
He added that they will know more after an autopsy has been conducted.
His remains were taken to City Mortuary.
