JALDES AND KUULE

One day Ayyo sent me and my brother Jaldesa to the shop to get some stuff.

We caught up with this man walking in the same direction and decided to walk behind him silently…

Our silence was suddenly broken by this loud fart-like noise..

I turned to Jaldes and asked…

“Jaldes sii” (Jaldes Is it you?)

” Nanniti siiniti?” ( No not me, is it not you?)

Khoot re udhan gaal dannan, he said (udhan gaal is some random song done to find the culprit)

The old man who was walking a few steps ahead now walked back to us and said…

“Ijol ergga iturina beena uffira duufun abba qabthi” (Do not be late, just go get what you have been sent for, the fart has its owner)

We did not talk the whole way…

On our way back we met Kuule Kul standing by the tree at the gate, we told her what happened and she started laughing…

“Abban duufu jars isan imbenne?” (The owner was the old man) She said…

I was confused, while they laughed and started walking in circles,
Kunu saying….

“Batha duufun abba qabth bekha” (the fart has its owner)

Jaldes follows her slowly saying…

“Inkoblin akk Busu kaan chalis igeri ilkanit si Kesa jega”…(Just be still like Busu, quite laughing, if you do all your teeth will fall out).

They did not notice Ayyo appear, she Jaldes narrated everything in detail,
“Nyinyi watoto hamna adabu she said, leo nitawa punish”.
The punishment was to sweep our compound plus all our neighbors too whether they are willing or not! That evening when Dad come home he was told what happened, he called us in asked us what happened and laughed, I saw Ayyo smile too.

“Nami guthan indufun darra, inum dowata malle, jarsi
Malkiya dowacha daqe, dowacha daqe dadabe, wanichuf gise uffi qabthi sun duufu giset g*e
Iyallin….(Adults pass gas too, unlike children we try control it in when around people, i am sure the old man could not control it, see, everything has its time, that fart’s time was up that is why you heard it)
We all laughed but were interrupted by Ayyo saying…

Duufu nam gutha atho dagetanile inkoblina ijolen namgutha salfachu malte
Wanchuf keesat.
(You should never laugh at adults passing gas, kids are supposed to be respectful at all times )

Muslims and Christians live side by side and there is no strife. It is also the safest city in Africa, and one of the safest cities in the world. One can walk anywhere at any time and feel safe.

Africa takes the printed paper, signs deals with foreigners and put foreigners in charge of the exploitation of its resources and works to add value to printed paper 🙄
Africa litterally make paper to have value🙄

Even the small money that Africa succeeds to generates on its own by adding value to paper, African leaders embezzle it and keep the money in foreign banks 🙄

The Borana ethnic group lives in Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia. Their population is estimated to be 500,000. They are semipastoralists, and live in arid areas. Their lives revolve around their animals: camels, cows, sheep, goats, and donkeys. Livestock are their only wealth and are used in religious sacrifices or to pay for a bride or legal fines. But animals need to graze, so the Borana often have to move to find the best grazing lands and take care of the vital wells…
