Our Story

AZ-Atelier is a creative collaboration between artists of various disciplines and backgrounds. We combine an enthusiastic and innovative personalized service to all our varied projects, working in harmony with one another to create outstanding works of great impact socially and individually. Architecture, art, research and development are the playground for a continuous ethical commitment. AZ-Atelier was founded by Ahmad Zeyad in 2013 in his Amman based studios, Ahmad is Urban Planning Researcher currently working with Greater Amman Municipality (GAM). He also works at The University of Jordan (UJ) as an External Instructor in the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering.

An urbanist with interests across Urban and Regional Planning Trends, Urban Redevelopment, Climate Change, and Applied Urban Revitalization Strategies. His research centers on connecting planning theories with empirics that combine new sources of passive data with physical observations to learn about the process of urbanization in developing countries, especially in cities like Amman.
