Youth Dies After Being Hit by Cricket Ball in Srinagar

In a tragic incident, a young boy identified as Adnan Rahim Bhat, son of Ab Rahim Bhat, resident of Asthanpora Rawalpora, lost his life while playing cricket at Madan Kha, Kenihama in Srinagar outskirts on Sunday.

According to eyewitnesses, the ball struck Adnan in the ribs during the game, causing him to fall unconscious.

He was immediately rushed to SMHS Hospital for treatment, where he was declared dead.

The untimely demise has left the local community in shock and grief.

Local police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Srinagar Gunfight: Militant Killed In Dachigam, Operation On

One unidentified militant has been killed in an overnight gunfight in Dachigam area of Harwan area of Srinagar district on Tuesday.

A top police officer told GNS that a specific input was recieved by police and security forces and further cordon and search operation was launched on Monday late evening in Dachigam area.

During firefight one unidentified militant has been killed so far. However operation in the area was underway.

The woman involved has been detained and is currently being questioned by the authorities. She has expressed deep regret for her actions and issued a formal apology. J&K Assembly Passes Resolution on Article 370 A heated debate erupted in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Wednesday morning when Deputy Chief Minister and National Conference leader Surinder Singh Choudhary introduced a resolution seeking the restoration of the Jammu Kashmir’s special status. The move was met with fierce opposition from BJP members, with Sunil Sharma arguing that the resolution is unacceptable. The resolution as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust tabled by Choudhary aims to reinstate the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, which was revoked in 2019. However, BJP members contested the move. Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather asked the opinion of the membes of the assembly while the majority of the legislators excluding BJP members supported the resolution. Accordingly, the Speaker passed the resolution.
