The government on Sunday ordered reopening of 10th and 12th classes for vaccinated students, with 50% capacity on a given day, in Jammu and Kashmir. However, rest of the classes shall remain closed for in-person studies.

“Coaching Centres for Civil Services/Engineering/NEET shall be permitted with limited in-person teaching, for fully vaccinated stall and student, subject to condition that the head of the centre shall ensure that the guidelines related to social distancing and Covid protocols are adhered to.”

All other Coaching Centres shall continue to remain closed for onsite/in-person teaching, the order said.

Higher educational institutions shall be permitted to commence limited in-person teaching subject to 100% vaccination of staff and students and specific permission of concerned Deputy Commissioners, it said.

“Such institutions can organise special vaccination camps in consultation with district administration,” it said, adding, “The Head of these institutions must ensure that the guidelines related to social distancing and Covid protocols are adhered to.”
Educational institutions shall be permitted to direct attendance of vaccinated staff for administrative purposes only.

*20-years old youth goes missing; family appeals him to return home*

Anantnag, June 26: The family members of a Zahid Ahmad Tali a 20-year-old youth have appealed to their son to return home and also urged the general public and police to help them in tracing their beloved.

According to the family, Zahid Ahmad, son of Manzoor Ahmad Tali of Hardtooru chattisinghpora area of District Anantnag has been missing since June 24.

Family members told Kashmir Bulletin that there are no traces of Zahid Ahmad Tali since June 21. “We called our relatives and his friends but could not find him anywhere, around 4 PM on 24 of june he left form home and said he is going to play cricket, but he didn't return yet” the family said, while appealing Zahid to return home.

After failing to trace him, the family has filed a missing report at Police station Mattan. The family appealed to police and the general public to help them in tracing their beloved.

Meanwhile, police officials told KB that the family has lodged a missing report and further investigation has been started—(KB)

IAS Officer Shahid Iqbal Hospitalized After Minor Heart Attack In Jammu
Srinagar, May 19:Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (IAS) Secretary to Government Tribal Department has suffered a minor heart attack and has been admitted to a hospital in Jammu, officials said on Wednesday.
Shahid, who presenly oversees Covid containment in Jammu, suffered “Myocardial Infarcation” last night and was admitted to Ankur Hospital.
Confirming it, a close relative of Choudhary said that he was ‘unwell and is now stable’.
Hospital authorities told GNS that Shahid, former deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, is presently in ICU and under observation.
