Sheep Husbandry Deptt Hajin organises awareness camp for sheep farmers

Hajjn: Hajin: Sheep Husbandry Department Bandipora organised a one-day awareness camp for sheep farmers on wool and pelt processing Holistic Agriculture Development Plan in town Hall Hajin of Bandipora district on Tuesday. The camp was presided over by Sheep and Wool Development Officer Hajin Dr Nuzhat Wali. Dr Irfan ,Dr Meer Mehraj were also in the presidium.
The event saw massive participation of beneficiaries and youth of the area.

Sheep and wool development officer, Hajin Dr Nuzhat Wali said that the main aim of organising these programs is to spread awareness among the sheep farmers regarding wool and pelt processing under HADP.
She said that livestock healthcare facilities have been upgraded in the district and the field staff has been given explicit directions to provide quality health cover to the farmers at their doorsteps to ensure 100%, coverage.
The HADP project is in the right direction to uplift the sheep farming in J&K and to enhance the production and processing of wool with the development of much needed infrastructure in this sector.
Dr Nuzhat impressed upon the participants, especially the youth, to come forward and become partners in efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in mutton and wool production.

Sopore Police is continuing its drive against Poppy cultivation making all consistent efforts by way of enforcement operations, today this drive was launched at Dharnambal in the jurisdiction of Police Station Tarzoo, where cultivation of Poppy spread was destroyed by Sopore Police, Naib Tehsildar Sopore along with Excise department.

General Public of Police District Sopore are once again requests to extend cooperation to the Sopore Police and come forward with any information regarding any kind of anti-social activity in their neighbourhood.

*BURGLARY CASE SOLVED IN KALANTRA PAYEEN; 2 BURGLARS ARRESTED; STOLEN CASH RECOVERED;*

On *1st June, 2023 Police Post Wagoora* received a complaint from one *Abdul Majeed Reshi S/O Asadullah Reshi R/O Kalantra Payeen Wagoora* stating therein that he is running a JK Bank Khidmat Centre and during day day he had gone for lunch and some unknown *burglars barged into his shop and stole cash amounting to Rs 97000/-*

To this effect *Police Station Kreeri registered Case FIR* under relevant sections of law and investigation was started.

During the course of investigation of the case with the *help of technical and human resources names of some suspects came to surface, namely Ghulam Mustafa Sofi S/O Mohd Ibrahim Sofi & Shabir Ahmad Bhat S/O Assadullah Bhat both resident of Diver Yakhmanpora Pattan* were identified and were called for questioning.

After thorough interrogation *they confessed that they have committed theft and upon their disclosure, stolen cash was recovered* from their possession and were taken into custody immediately.

During his personal search *16 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance* was recovered from them and were taken into custody immediately. Vehicle was also seized on spot.
