In a splendid display of patriotism and unity, the 75th Republic Day was celebrated with immense fervor and enthusiasm at various Police establishments, government institutions, and offices across Handwara. The main event unfolded at the *District Police Lines, Handwara*, where the entire community came together to honor the significance of this historic day.

The dignified ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of *ADC Handwara and SSP Handwara*, who jointly unfurled the tricolor, symbolizing the sovereignty and resilience of the nation. A heartfelt salute was accorded by diverse contingents representing *JK Executive/Armed Police, Homeguards, SDRF, NCC, and students*, showcasing the diverse and united spirit of the region.

The occasion witnessed a gathering of officers and officials from various departments, emphasizing the collective commitment towards upholding the principles of democracy and the welfare of the citizens. The disciplined parade and marching contingents added a touch of grandeur to the event, reflecting the professionalism and dedication of the security forces.

Notably, the celebration was not confined to the official circles; a substantial crowd of civilians also graced the occasion, demonstrating the shared pride and allegiance towards the nation. The atmosphere resonated with patriotic songs, fostering a sense of unity and national pride.

servers Foundation along with New Reign Wellness Solutions organised a one day awareness program about Health and hygiene. The program comprised of education about Physical, Mental, emotional, intimate* *and sexual education and how important it is to maintain this all to maintain a healthy being and so a healthy society. The attendants of the program showed an NEWS by Raja ishaq overwhelm to get acquainted with such sensitive information which is not imparted by everyone. At the end of the program the* *women present at the venue were given sanitary pads. Moreover, the volunteers and key people were felicitated by the CEO and Chairperson of Kashmir servers Foundation Ms Refat wani for their support and hard work towards the accomplishment of the program*.

*Kupwara: 23 Jan 2024: The working journalists of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district framed a body, Young Journalists Association Kupwara YJAK, on Tuesday*.

*YJAK, which has 17 working journalist as members, held maiden election to choose various office bearer’s*.

*Ulfat Hussain Malik was elected as president, Murtaza Mushtaq As vice president, Tahir Ahmad Bhat General secretary, Towseef Hamdani as Spokesperson and Javid Ahmad Mir as Treasurer*.

*The elected body nominated Hilal Ahmad, Faisal Ahmad Mir, Raja Ishaq, Ab Majeed, Sajid Bashir, Nissar Ahmad Mir etc as executive members while as Wasim Majnoon Mir will function as chairman*.

*Senior Journalist and patron of YJAK, Wasim Majnoon Mir hailed the members for holding successful elections. “Journalists in Kashmir, particularly journalists from North Kashmir work in a very challenging environment and these challenges can be face by supporting and coordinating with each other,” he said*, *adding that YJAK is bound to highlight issues as they happen without taking sides*.

“*This is really good news to us that young working journalists of Kupwara and handwara have come under a single platform *,”

Added that “If any member or YJAK official found in any illegal activities he/she will be self-responsible and dismiss from the organisation without any delay.”

Meanwhile several political and non political organisations congratulated president and other officer bearers. The office bearers were garlanded as a token of appreciation from Authorities.

Administrative Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department chairs Mega Public Darbar at Handwara

KUPWARA, January 23, Administrative Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department J&K, Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah today visited Handwara and Chaired a Mega Public Darbar at Town Hall Handwara to take stock of Public grievances and developmental activities.

The Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori, The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan, Vice Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir, DDC Member Rajwar, Salman Mir, DDC Member Mawar, Khurshid Ahmad, DDC Member, Nutnoosa, Adv. Zahoor Ahamd, ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan, ADC Handwara Nazir Ahmad Mir, Principal GMC Handwara Dr.Iffat, Chairman, traders Federation Handwara Ijaz Sofi, District Officers, PRIs, besides other representatives and a large number of People of the area attended the Mega Public-Outreach programme.

Chairing the Public Darbar, Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah said that he was encouraged to see the desire for growth and Development to make Kupwara district one of the leading districts of UT in terms of development among youth.

Shah said that tourist attractions of the district like Lolab, Bungas, Keran and Teetwal have become hotspot tourist destinations in North Kashmir, besides youth in Kupwara district are turning to entrepreneurship which is an important untapped source for economic growth.

While highlighting the importance of the Public Darbar, Shah said Public out-reach programs act as a bridge between the administration and the people, where highest level government functionaries connect with people.

Shah added that GMC Handwara has great potential to become one of the top GMC of the UT as students from across the country will soon start coming in.

Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Pandithpori on the occasion demanded speeding up of pace of work on the GMC building and to address the shortage of timber in forest depots of Kupwara district.

Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara ­, Ms. Ayushi Sudan Speaking on the occasion, said that the significance of Public Darbar is bridging gaps between various stakeholders for better policy formulation and implementation through constructive feedback.

DC urged the people to make the event fruitful and constructive and give feedback regarding grievances and developmental issues.

Vice Chairman, District development Council Kupwara, Haji Farooq Mir, while welcoming the visit of administrative Secretary in Handwara hoped that now onwards, Health projects will get good attention from the authorities. Vice Chairman demanded up-gradation of SDH Kupwara to District Hospital and speeding up of work of the GMC Handwara.

Chairman, traders Fedration Handwara, Ijaz Ahmad Sofi while expressing his gratitude to District adminstration Kupwara said GMC Handwara is a major project of the district which is being focused by District Administration and soon this project will be completed

During the event, a documentary depicting work on GMC Handwara building, Associated District Hospital, and related hostel facilities was screened which attracted appreciation and applause for District Administration.

Three infrastructure development projects which were completed recently by concerned executing agencies were e-inaugurated on the occasion which included construction of Panchayat Bhawan at Dudipora, Construction of health centre at Bakiaakar and up gradation of Palpora-Khanpora road.

The people on the occasion expressed their gratitude to the District Administration for organizing Mega Public darbar at Handwara and said that such public outreach programs provide them an opportunity to voice their grievances and developmental issues to expedite the resolution through the appropriate channels.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Abid Rashid Shah along with Chairman DDC Kupwara and Deputy Commissioner Kupwara inspected the stalls, interacted with officers and beneficiaries of different CSSs.

Later, Administrative Secretary along with Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara and Deputy Commisioner Kupwara paid a visit of GMC Handwara functioning from make shift arrangements, makeshift administrative blocks of GMC and District Hospital Handwara where he interacted with Staff, patients and concerned engineers.
Administrative Secretary directed the concerned engineers to speed up the pace of the work so that GMC building is completed and patients and Staff of GMC doesn't face problems.
ADC Handwara, Principal GMC Handwara, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Handwara, EXen R&B and engineers of Housing Board, Tehsildar Handwara and other Officers also accompanied the Administrative Secretary.

JKSSB Accounts Assistant (Finance)Exam: DC Kupwara chairs a meeting to review preparations.

Kupwara, Jan 19, : To ensure smooth conduct of the upcoming JKSSB exam for the recruitment to the post of Accounts Assistant (Finance), the District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan on Friday chaired a Review Meeting-cum-raining sesion, here at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex.
During the meeting DC Kupwara while expressing her appreciation for the smooth conduct of the earlier examination, which helped JKSSB to frame result in a record time of 13 days, emphasised upon the officers to follow the procedures in letter and spirit for smooth and transparent conduct of examination.She impressed the Center superintendent to ensure logistic support, necessary for the hassle free conduct of the examination in place at all the examination centers.

Earlier, ADC Kupwara, Gh.Nabi Bhat briefed the participating Centre Superintendents (CS), Exam Coordinators (EC), observers and magistrates their roles and all other aspects of OMR based Written exam.
Zahoor Ahmad, Member JKSSRB, on the occasion, while expressing his gratitude to district administration Kupwara, hailed the coordination and efforts of district administration. He made a powerpoint presentation to brief the officers in detail about their role and responsibilities throughout the examination proceedings and addressed the queries raised by the officers present in the meeting. it is pertinent to mention here that 1.96 lacs applicants are going to appear for 972 posts of Account Assistant (Finance) in 650 exam centers across Jammu and Kashmir on 28th of January 2024

It is media fraternity which always highlighted the sufferings of common people. VBSY reaches Shatgund bala of Mawar Block, Mir Tariq Ali Chairs mega event, emphasizes for 100% saturation of beneficiary oriented schemes

Kupwara, January 18: Viksit Bharat Sankalp yatra is reaching every nook and corner of frontier Kupwara district. A mega VBSY event was organized today at Government High School Shatgundbala of Block Mawar Qalamabad in Kupwara district.

As part of ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), the Director General, Child & Women Development, Department (J&K), Mir Tariq Ali, today visited Shatgundbala to Chair the Mega event.

The event aimed to raise awareness about government-sponsored public-centric schemes; extending outreach to remote areas for community engagement and ensure 100% saturation of various beneficiary-oriented schemes, was attended by DDC Member, Mawar, Khursheed Ahmad Dar, ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan, ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir, ACP Kupwara, Dr. Mudasir Ahmad, other Senior Officers besides a large gathering of people were present on the occasion.

The Director General, Child & Women Development, Department (K&K) while addressing the event said that the Yatra aims to bring together government officers, local leaders, and communities to ensure outreach and last mile delivery of the developmental initiatives of the government to all the people.

The DG stressed on achieving 100% saturation of all beneficiary-oriented schemes. He urged all departments and officials to work diligently and collaboratively to ensure that no one is left behind in the journey towards progress and prosperity.

He congratulated different departments for reaching out to the unreached and ensuring everyone gets benefited. While responding to the demands/grievances, Mir Tariq Ali directed the concerned departments to examine these demands raised for prompt disposal.

DDC Member, Mawar Qalamabad, Khurseed Ahmad Dar, while Congratulating to the Officers and Field functionaries of different departments said that all departments are doing commendable job here, Public Representatives are fully Cooperating with them, as a result, no funds of this territorial constituency lapsed till date. On the occasion, he demanded NTPHC, a stadium and a J&K Bank Branch for the area.

Earlier, the Director General inspected the stalls set up by various departments to showcase their achievements and services. The DG interacted with the beneficiaries and scheme implementing agencies and appreciated their efforts. He also took part in plantation drive along with the other Officers and handed over sanction letters to various beneficiaries pertaining to welfare and income generation schemes.

The event witnessed screening of the Prime Minister's message and other videos played through the IEC van.

Mir Tariq Ali along with the officers of District Administration and locals actively took part in the Viksit Bharat pledge, reaffirming their commitment towards development of the nation.

The Yatra featured a segment called 'Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani', where the beneficiaries of various schemes and local successful entrepreneurs shared their success stories and experiences of how they have personally benefited from Government schemes.

Beyond informative sessions, the event offered essential services, ensuring immediate benefits for attendees.

Handwara Jan 15: Senior J&K Apni Party Leader cm Constituency Head Ab Rashid Bhat on Monday toured various parts of Handwara Constituency wherein he interacted with the local inhabitants.

In a statement issued here, Bhat said that in continuation to the public outreach program he visited remote villages of upper Rajwar and also visited lower Rajwar and listened to the pressing pleas of the locals.

The locals apprised about the immense problems faced by them with regards to the roads electricity and water supply problems and requested for immediate redressal of their grievances. I have ensured them to take up this matter on priority so that locals of Rajwar do not face any further inconvenience," he said.

Besides, bhat also visited the bereaved families of Upper & lower Rajwar and expressed solidarity with them at this time of grief.

*During the visit, the DC inspected various works of the Rural Development department*.
*It was informed that the works have been* *executed under MPLADS and MGNREGA* *convergence plan*.
*The DC stressed upon* *the concerned officers to ensure strict compliance* *of quality standards in ex*****on of works. She* *directed them for timely completion of works so that people are benefited in general*.
