Movie Description : A failed marriage. A watchmaker. Meteorites. Time is uncomfortably relative in this Kerala town, and our hero struggles to make the perfect watch to keep up with the times.

Movie Director : Animates and illustrates for a living and for fun. Likes to experiment with mixed media including traditional techniques, digital animation, projection mapping, etc. Made a short film (Watchmaker at Time's End) utilizing only open source tools, and developed workflows using them. Trying to create animations set in Indian contexts.

Director Statement
This movie is a mix of several things that I personally wanted to see on screen - an animated science fiction set in my hometown in Kerala, pulling together very regional elements to showcase a human story.

This is also an attempt to make a short 2D animation using only free open-source softwares, and trying to showcase the advantages they provide, so that more people may try them out and benefit from them. I'd tried to develop different workflows throughout production to come up with a technique to get 2d and 3d working together to get a unique look that serves the purpose of the story.

Movie Description : The story deals with the interaction between a young boy and his kite.
As he raises his kite amidst the other kites, there were occasions when he and the kite
enjoy together. Suddenly an offender kite enters the scene and inadvertly the boy's kite
cuts the offender's kite.
This changes the attitude of the kite and it turns evil by destroying the other peaceful kites
and growing in size as a result of it...
The boy didn't like this. He tries to lower his kite. To his dismay the kite started
misbehaving against the boy. Then after some untoward mishaps the boy had to cut the
thread connecting the kite and the spool. The kite becomes free for a while...
Then realises there is no connection with its owner, finally ends up with the other kites
destroyed by it.

Movie Description : Once there was an elephant named Rupa. She used to give ride to children in the zoo. Being an elephant. She did not found herself pretty. One day her best friend Chinchi, the bird tried to help her to make her pretty by giving her all beautiful and visibly attractive body parts of other animals. She went to all animals in the zoo and asked them for their bright colors, stripes and spots to give to Rupa the elephant. They did as Chinchi wanted. Now Rupa was happy to see herself. But when the children came for a ride, they were totally disappointed to see this Rupa. They wanted their earlier Rupa back. Rupa washed off her body and came as she was. Children were happy to see their Rupa back.

Director Biography - Sugandha Bansal
Sugandha Bansal is a final year Animation Design Student from MIT Institute of Design. She has a passion for creative storytelling and that is evident in her works. She believes that since she has the skills to share a story, she would like to tell a story that people can relate with; stories with a strong message. 'A Little More Blue' is her second film as a student.

Director Statement
Many a times, some individuals do not identify with the gender that has been assigned to their biological s*x. Such people may feel neglected and unaccepted by the society, only because of being different.
Through this film I would like to create awareness amongst the society so that it accepts alternate s*xualities, and also amongst the people who are having a problem in identifying with their gender, to comfort them by letting them know that they aren't alone in this.

Movie Description : Ammu, the eight year old daughter of Deepak and Shrinda loved painting. She was asked by her classteacher to make a scrapbook of newspaper clippings, she was more than happy to oblige. She collects several newspaper clippings and paste them all one by one with great care. As the holidays arrived she reached her father Deepak’s native village. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Ammu finds the place really beautiful and calm. Though happy being around, she kept a deliberate distance from her grandpa and it was noticed by others. Her father Deepak tries to learn what bothers her. He finds from her scrapbook, a newspaper cut out about a child abuse case that involved the victim’s grandfather.

Movie Director : Anoop Oommen (Filmmaker and DoP)
Started his career as a cinematographer and later directed several short films. His works such as “Ithrayum Yathabhagam” and “The Haunted Mind” were in limelight and gained wide acclaim at the National level. His short films were exhibited during several National and international film festivals. More than twelve short films and several documentaries are in his directorial credit. “The Little Riddle” is his latest short film.

This short film “The Little Riddle” is a tailor-made family entertainer. It shows the parents and children how to safeguard themselves simply from the atrocities against children. It concerns about the news of mounting cases of s*xual abuse against children throughout India. It is made as a point of open discussion about the mental agony of the abuse victims and their sympathizers as well.

I am Harish, a Visual Designer based out in Kochi. I completed my Masters in Animation and Film Design from IDC, IIT Bombay. A former software engineer, I am now focussed in visual storytelling. I had always been fascinated by animation. Now I dab my hands into various forms of storytelling including comics, animation and even live action shorts.

Director Statement
Like any modern Indian middle class family I have experienced conflict between rationality and tradition. The protagonists in my film are representatives of this generation gap. Pitting two characters with diametrically opposing ideologies itself paves way to interesting situations. I did not want to take up sides though, and tried to present the story in a very Shakespearean structure, wherein the audience get to choose which side makes sense and which seems nonsense. At least this is what I set out to achieve.

Nagraj Popatrao Manjule is an Indian film director, actor, producer, scriptwriter, poet, screenwriter, filmmaker and he works in the Marathi Cinema, best known for his Marathi film Sairat, short-film Pistulya for which he received National Film Award in Non-Feature Film category. Nagraj Manjule started his career with a short film, Pistulya (2010), which won the National Film Award for Best Non-Feature Film of a Director in 2010. Manjule has also published a book of Marathi poetry titled, Unhachya Katavirudhha. The book won the Bhairuratan Damani Sahitya Puraskar award. This Celebrity Hails from Jeur, Karmala Taluka, Solapur, Maharashtra, India, At the 61st National Film Awards, Fandry won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director. In 2018, Manjule published a book of poetry in Marathi titled Unhachya Katavirudhha which won the Bhairuratan Damani Sahitya Puraskar. Manjule is strongly inspired by B. R. Ambedkar, the emancipator of downtrodden and the father of the Indian constitution. His films are deeply rooted in his own experience growing up as a dalit in rural Maharashtra. His first National Award-winning short film Pistulya is a reflection of his 'felt experience'.[9]The film focuses on the desire of a dalit boy to attend school, and his inability to do so because of his family's poverty and a deep seated disdain for formal education within his community.

Movie Description : This montage film is an individual’s self-expression of the pandemic and the timeline of waves we sailed upon, beginning from the onset of the pandemic to the power struggle that we have between man and nature.

Movie Director : Sarthak Talreja is a 24 years old aspiring artist spending his time between New Delhi & Mumbai, India. He is currently pursuing a degree in visual art from Mumbai. Sarthak’s work revolves around a gestural approach related to what his subject is, trying to convey modern-day issues faced by individuals.

His latest work titled ‘Beautiful’ is based on body positivity. “Social media and the media itself has a lot of influential take on what we think of ourselves. I believe that from an early age there is a huge amount of pressure on what we need to look like and there is a specific preferred body type that is approved among our peers and in general. People judge others based on how they and their bodies look in the pictures they post. For this reason, people often present themselves as if they were ‘perfect’.

Director Statement
This montage film is an individual’s self-expression of the pandemic and the timeline of waves we sailed upon, beginning from the onset of the pandemic to the power struggle that we have between man and nature.

Various shots are extracted from external sources yet the better part of the film is animated and stitched with a very aggressive tone. The purpose behind the whole project was to drop hints about the direction in which our actions are taking us.

Movie Description : "Meri Pyari Bakri" ["My Dearest Goat"] is an attempt to personify Mahatma Gandhi's philosophies of non-violence and Satyagraha [civil disobedience].
It showcases how animals are full of compassion, even in adversities.

This is a story of a goat who adopts the path of civil disobedience to protest against her master's atrocities. Even in protest, the goat serves her master in a heartwarming manner which leads to his catharsis.

Movie Director : Mrs. Swati Agarwal
Swati Agarwal is an alumnus of IDC, School of Design
Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Bombay.
She completed her M.Des in Animation in 2012 and has
worked at IDC (2012-2020) as a Design Research Associate on
different projects by the Government of India.
She has also documented the history of Indian
Animation and interviewed some of the veteran
Indian Animators.
Her two claymation films ‘Gajar Ka Halwa’ and ‘Lakshmi
Aayi Hai’ and a 2d animation film’ Amrita’ fetched
several national and international awards.
Swati has the experience of working with the renowned
Oscar winning Animator ‘Adam Wrywas’ on a short
claymation film ‘Tokri’.

Kireet Khurana is an Indian filmmaker, storyteller, and ad-film director.he founded the production house Climb Media, and later its animation wing, 2nz Animation Co., where he serves as creative head. Kireet Khurana is an Indian animator. In his career of 12 years, he has made over 300 short films, documentary films, ad films and also directed India’s first live action-3D animation film “Toonpur Ka Superher.
He won his first President's National Award in 1995 for the film “Mahagiri” a film about cruelty against animals. The film won two National Awards for Best Animation Film Direction and Best Animation, respectively. It also won a Certificate of Merit at the Mumbai Int'l Film Festival in 1996.
In his career as an animator, he has directed award-winning shorts on Child Rights for National Film Board of Canada co-produced with UNICEF for prestigious ‘Rights From The Heart’ series. He is the creator, director and screenplay writer for the award-winning animation series – ‘Adventures of Chhota Birbal’ which was aired on Cartoon network in the year 2003. Movie Description : This is a short Puppet animation based on pep-talk style about perceptions of people about the heat during the summer time in Kolkata, West Bengal. All Characters of this film are real life characters. They are mainly out sider who come to Kolkata for their reasons. These characters are recreated in puppets for the film only. The idea of the interview came from “Creature
Comforts” by Nick Park. Us, the team members came
up with the topic for the interview. This short video is very interesting and engaging. Hope you will like to watch it.

Movie Director : Sovan Dutta is currently pursuing his post-graduate diploma in Animation Cinema from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. He was born in Naihati,24 pargana (north),West Bengal, India. He lives with his mother. He completed his schooling from Naihati Narendra Vidyaniketan.
