Forces conduct Area Domination Route March in Rajouri

Rajouri, March 30 : Aimed towards better Area Domination as well as proper familiarization of troops in view of parliamentary poles, the security forces on Saturday conducted a route march in Rajouri main town area and peripheral places.

Jammu and Kashmir police, Central Reserve Police Force, other Central Armed Paramilitary Forces jointly participated in it which started from District Police Lines Rajouri and passed through Panja chowk, Salani bridge, Tariq bridge, Workshop bridge, main bus stand, Gujjar Mandi area.

Senior officers of police as well as other forces led this route march which was a part of exercise in order to have adequate area domination as well as area familiarization of troops.

Alongside it, a general briefing of force was also made before the march especially for security arrangements of parliamentary polls.

RAJOURI, MARCH 26: District Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) team Rajouri in collaboration with NCC Unit and NSS club today imparted training to NCC Cadets and NSS volunteers at Government Degree College here to encourage them to extend help and support to frail and elderly to cast votes in the upcoming election of Lok Sabha 2024.

The event was supervised by Prof. Iqbal Raina (DNO), Dr. Khalid Reyaz, Prof. Ajaz Nazir and Tanweer Ahmed Chowdhury.

The training was imparted to the participants by Prof Khaleeq Ahmed Qazi, NSS program Officer and Major Tanveer Ahmed Chowdhary.

Rajouri,March 26 : A man wanted in a case has been arrested by a team of police from Manjakote police station.

The team headed by SHO Manjakote arrested the accused.

Identified as Zaheer Ahmed son of Razaq Khan resident of Kakora Manjakote, he was evading his arrest in Case FIR No 44/2023
U/Ss 341/323/504/506 IPC and against whom warrant U/S 299 CrPC has been issued by Hon'ble Court on 29/12/2023.

He was evading his arrest but has been arrested now.

Man wanted for implementation of PSA warrant detained

Rajouri,March 26 : Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri has detained a man wanted for implementation of Public Safety Act (PSA) warrant.

Police said that the detained accused is identified as Tariq Mehmood son of Mohd Kabir resident of Nerojal village of Thanamandi.

The accused is involved in unlawful acts and his detention was need of hour for public peace and order.

He was absconding since September 2023 after a warrant under PSA was issued by District Magistrate.

His detention warrant has been executed and is now being lodged in District Jail Dhangri Rajouri.

A team of police headed by SHO Thanamandi made the arrest of accused.

Indian Army Boosts Healthcare in T**a Pir Village In Surankot Area.

Poonch, March 19, 2024. Indian Army's ongoing commitment to connect with local population and community upliftment , saw fruition in T**a Pir village near Surankot area with a recent medical camp.

Attended by 154 civilians, including 50 women, the camp provided essential medical services and health awareness sessions.

Led by a team of dedicated medical professionals, the initiative aimed to reach out to villagers for medical succour by promoting regular health check-ups and a healthy lifestyle especially for females by a lady doctor.

Man arrested for stealing iron rods (Saria) in Swari Rajouri.

Rajouri, March 20 : The Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district has worked out a case of theft involving iron rods (Saria) used in house construction work.

Police said that on 1st of January this year, a complaint was received from a person of Sakri in which it was informed that he had purchase Saria (iron rods) for construction of his house at Sakri and kept the same in a shed along road side and that in the intervening night of 23rd and 24th of December some unknown person stole about 08 quintal of Saria.

On this a case FIR No 01/2024 U/Ss 457/380 IPC was registered at police station Kandi and investigation was set into motion by a team under the supervision of SHO Kandi Shakeel Manhas.

During the course of investigation, police said, CCTV footage of different areas was analysed and a suspect was zeroed in who has been identified as Zulifkar Ali son of Samunder Khan resident of Swari.

During the course of questioning, the accused confessed for his involvement in this crime and on his disclosure 3.43 quintals of Saria valuing 22000 rupees has been recovered from Swari area and a vehicle Tata Mobile JK11C 9104 used in crime has also been seized.

Investigation and legal proceedings in the case are going on where as more recovery of stolen material is expected in days to come.

Absconder nabbed in Thanamandi

Rajouri, March 19 : Tightening noose against absconders who are evading arrests in different cases, a team of police from Thanamandi police station has arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest in a case whereas a general warrant was also issued against him Hon'ble Court of Law.

Arrested absconder is identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Qureshi son of Allah Ditta resident of Village Plangarh.

A team of police from Thanamandi police station under the supervision of SHO Thanamandi Hilal Azhar and SDPO Thanamandi Viqar Rasool Butt has arrested him Tangmarg Kashmir.

He was evading his arrest since 2009 and a general warrant of arrest U/Ss 512 CrPC was issued against him by Hon’ble Court in 2009 in case FIR No 49/2008 U/S 498-A RPC.

The absconder shall now be produced in the Hon'ble Court of law.

Jammu, 18 March. Under the leadership of President of Parents Association Jammu, Amit Kapoor, parents and children demonstrated strongly outside Hari Singh Park today and strongly demanded restoration of age relaxation and admission of first class children.

Along with this, he also demanded to tighten the nexus of uniforms and books.

During this, the protesters raised slogans loudly regarding their demands.

Addressing the protesters, Amit Kapoor said that the children who are currently enrolled should be given age relaxation so that their future is not affected.

He said that last year LG Manoj Sinha had given relaxation of one year but the children who are still enrolled should be given relaxation of two years.

He said that all schools should be instructed to enroll only three plus children in nursery so that children do not face any problem regarding age in the first class under the new education policy.

But the children who are enrolled should be given age relaxation and they should be given admission.

Along with this, he also demanded from the Education Department to constitute a task force to break the nexus of uniforms and books.

He said that according to the order of the High Court, all schools should have the same books, but still some mafia schools are installing books as per their own wish and are also selling books and wardis themselves.

He demanded the education department and its higher officials to form a task force to stop this. He said that strict action should be taken against those mafia schools which are doing their own thing.

He has requested LG Manoj Sinha that in the same manner as he had given age relaxation to the children last year, the children who are still enrolled should be given age relaxation and their enrollment should be reinstated.

He warned that if the government did not accept his demands, he would intensify the protests in the coming days.

Placebo Meditation Session Held At Sainik School, Nagrota

Nagrota, 17 Mar : An enriching and enabling session on Placebo Meditation was conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Praveen Kumar, Staff Officer Education, White Knight Corps on 17 March 24 for the cadets at Major Somnath Sharma PVC stadium of the school. Session drew enthusiastic participation from staff, cadets, and volunteers alike.

Being an expert and a Research Scholar of Pondicherry University, the officer presented a comprehensive introduction to the unique form of meditation which is an effective way to refine the perception and self- belief of cadets and enable them to unleash their full potential with increased vigour and energy.

Following the introduction, the officer conducted a practical meditation session for the cadets. Vice Principal and members of the faculty also participated in the meditation session.

The event marked a significant milestone in empowering the future leaders of Sainik School Nagrota, instilling in them the importance of mindfulness and personal growth through placebo meditation.

The session, which lasted nearly an hour, proved to be a catalyst for meaningful conversations, inspiring cadets to embark on a journey of self-awareness, confidence-building and transformation through placebo meditation.

DM Rajouri directs all gun license holders to deposit weapons in nearest Police Stations within one week

RAJOURI, MARCH 17: As the schedule for the Lok Sabha is announced, the District Magistrate Rajouri, Om Parkash Bhagat directed all the civilians possessing licensed weapons to deposit the licensed arms and ammunition at the nearest police station within a week.

The District Magistrate, who is also District Election Officer (DEO), besides asking for deposition of weapons, has also directed all the printing presses, operating within his jurisdiction, to clearly indicate in the 'Printline' the names and addresses of the printer and publisher of any election pamphlets or posters.

The district administration cautioned the printing press owners/operators against any violation of the provisions of section 127 A of Representation of People's Act, 1951 and the instructions of Election Commission of India, underling that the same would be viewed “very seriously” which may in appropriate-cases include even the revocation of the license of the printing.

The move aimed to ensure free, fair and transparent elections in the district as per the guidelines of Election Commission of India for Lok Sabha Election, 2024.
