JKRETTF thanked Worthy Admin Secretary School Education for grant of one time exemption to those teachers and other staff who have acquired higher qualifications through distance and online mode during service period.

Rajouri,March 17
Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar -e-Taleem Teachers Forum ( JKRETTF) has thanked the Worthy Administrative Secretary School Education department Dr Piyush Singla for the grant of one time exemption in favour of teaching and other staff of education department who have acquired higher qualifications during service through distance and online mode .
According to a press release issued here by the Forum,
Aaftab Tantray District President Rajouri,Ajit Singh Khalsa Provincial Chief Spokesperson,Naresh Sharma District Senior Vice President and Sandeep Kumar ZP thanked the Administrative Secretary Education for considering the request submitted through different mediums by JKRETTF.He said that earlier the permissions were granted by Director's and concerned CEOs to teachers where as teachers appointed under RET scheme were allowed by the department to enhance their qualifications during their first five years of service without any permission.
He welcomed the move to frame a committee in this regard which is positive step . Teachers are thankful to the higher authorities specially to Dr. Piyush Singla for considering the request of teaching community on priority basis.

*Aijaz Asad Chairs Public Grievance Redressal Camp in Panchayat Bhambla*

_Appeals people to be Participants and Co-creators of good governance, not mere Consumers_

Reasi, 16 February:– Shri Mohammad Aijaz Asad, Administrative Secretary to the Government, Planning Development and Monitoring Department, accompanied by District Development Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Paul Mahajan, presided over a public grievance camp at Panchayat Bhambla in block Pouni. The camp aimed to address the concerns and demands of the people in Bhambla and adjoining areas.

Residents of Bhambla and neighboring areas seized the opportunity to directly communicate challenges in their daily lives to Secretary Planning. Multifarious issues ranging from infrastructure development, healthcare facilities, staff shortages in the health department, construction of a bridge near Kalidhar temple, completion of pending roads, school upgradation, fresh survey of PMAY, monkey menace in the habitations, ambulance availability, school building repairs, low voltage in certain areas, and the construction of a playground.

Various government departments, including Agriculture, Health, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, and Social Welfare, set up stalls to provide information to residents of the neighboring areas of block Pouni about central and Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory schemes. People had the opportunity to learn about and avail benefits of respective schemes on the spot.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Mohammad Aijaz stated that the Sports Council would soon conduct a survey to identify suitable land for playgrounds. He emphasized upon the government's commitment to addressing the needs of the people on a priority basis and highlighted the importance of grievance camps for resolving public issues at their doorsteps.

Secretary Aijaz mentioned the LG Mulaqaat programme as an effective platform for people to directly raise grievances with HLG Manoj Sinha, encouraging the public to use this platform to express genuine concerns.

Regarding the issue of water scarcity, Secretary Aijaz informed that the Border Roads Organization (BRO) shall regularly supplying water tankers to the affected areas. Additionally, he issued on spot directions that a team of engineers would soon visit the area to resolve the water problem.

Secretary Aijaz urged the youth to take advantage of various Central and Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Schemes. He specifically encouraged local artisans to register themselves in the PM Vishwakarma Scheme to avail its benefits.

While addressing the residents of Bhambla,DDC Mahajan assured the residents that all their genuine demands would be fulfilled in a timely manner. He highlighted that the administration is committed to ensuring transparency and accountability.

February 15, 2024:
A review meeting of Border Area Development Programme was held under the chairmanship of the Secretary to the Government, Planning Development, and Monitoring Department, Shri Aijaz Asad with the participation of District Development Commissioners and Chief Planning Officers of BADP districts of UT of J&K including Director General (PMCE) and Deputy Director (BADP), among other officials from PD&MD.

In his opening address, the Secretary to the Government, Planning Development, and Monitoring Department extended a warm welcome to all attendees and elucidated the purpose of the meeting. Thereafter, the Secretary reviewed the Physical and Financial Progress in individual interactions with each District Development Commissioner/ Chief Planning Officer. The Secretary provided a concise overview of the status of Border Area Development Programme.

All DDCs were asked to ensure the utilization of funds available with the districts, besides completion of all the ongoing works implemented by the district authorities under BADP in order to get fresh instalment of funds from MHA, GoI. Furthermore, the Secretary impressed upon all Chief Planning Officers, to update the Physical and Financial Progress on BADP OMS Portal in line with the actual figures, within stipulated timelines.

KHURSHID AHMED BISMIL HONOURED WITH A LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD BY SUB DIVISIONAL ADMINISTRATION THANNAMANDI

On the auspicious occasion of Republic day, the administration of sub division thanna Mandi , felicitated Mr. Khurshid Ahmed Bismil with a lifetime achievement award. The award was given by SDM thanna Mandi Mr. Shafiq Ahmed Mir JKAS in presence of other officers of the Sub division and galaxy of prominent personalities of the area present in the Republic day function in Government boys higher secondary school, thanna Mandi. Mr. Bismil hails from thanna Mandi town of district Rajouri. Born in the turbulent times of partition, he had his early education in thanna Mandi and graduation from degree college poonch through distant mode. Later he did his B.Ed from M.E.T Sopore, Kashmir and M.Ed from Jammu University. He had a die hard literary and teaching tastes with an immense desire to do something extraordinary for his region. This unflinching commitment of him made him open a school in the town in the year 1976 , under the name Muslim educational trust, Baba Ghulam Shah academy, THANNA MANDI. It was the first educational institution of its kind in the Pirpanchal region which was simply aimed at bringing an educational revolution in the region which was then taken as a remote and backward area of the state. This did happen after few decades of its establishment . Later , the said educational movement gave the slogan of establishing Baba Ghulam Shah University which was quite well taken in the region and the lofty idea conceived decades earlier in the Baba Ghulam Shah academy got translated into reality in the year 2003 when the university finally got established on grounds . It's an honour to Mr. Bismil that he is the author of the tarana of the said university. He is also a man of literature and is author of two books and an acclaimed poet of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. His contribution in the socio , educational and literary field of the region is quite glaring and very well acknowledged in the whole region. It's in recognition of the said illustrious role of him in the Pirpanchal region, his hometown administration has presented to him an illustrious award called ' life time achievement award. The citation based on the contribution of Mr. Bismil was read out by Tehsildar thanna Mandi while giving award to him. It is pertinent to mention that Mr. Bismil is earlier honoured with number of awards by various prestigious institutions in recognition of his best services rendered in the region including by American Biographical institute. All the participants in the function wished longevity of his life to keep rendering his exemplary services for humanity at large.
