The Arunachal student's Union shillong (ASUS) Women wing session 2021-2022 team lead by miss khyoda yayo president ASUS W/W and miss kipa lazer General Secretary W/W met the Deputy Residence Commissioner (DRC) Shillong on 28june 2022 in connection with the recent emerged serious issue problem confronting by the students community and other visitors from Arunachal Pradesh who visit shillong for medical purposes.While highlighting the problem before the DRC Shillong, the president miss khyoda yayo SAID that" the Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) Shillong is situated at the distant about 13KM outside from the main city area, which is not walkable distance by foot from the main city area,more over the taxi,cab,rapido etc.are charging a sky touching fair which is not affordable for the students community and other visitors.Under this circumstance, the students and medical patient of our state are facing a serious problem during to and fro journey in shillong".
In this regard the women wing of ASUS served a representation to DRC Shillong praying to facilitate a Mini APST Bus service from Arunachal Boys Hostel (ABH) shillong to ISBT shillong.Further more the union demanded the concern department to considered this matter at top priority and initiate necessary action to fulfill the above said demand at earliest and the DRC Shillong assured the union that he will address the problem before the concern department authority hereby urging the state transport department to initiate appropriate action to find a solution for said problem at earliest.
