Ram Navami is a significant Hindu festival celebrated to honour the divine birth of Lord Rama. It is an auspicious festival that promotes happiness, hope new opportunities and the embodiment of righteousness. It usually falls anytime between March and April and is observed on the ninth day of the Chaitra month. This festival is celebrated with utmost devotion, immense happiness and excitement People come together on this occasion to perform various religious ceremonies and rituals like prayers, Puja reciting mantras, decorating home, fasting singing, dancing and organising kirtan.
Lord Rama who is known to be the seventh avatar of Vishnu is an immensely important figure in the Hindu religion and is the perfect example of compassion, kindness, respect and unconditional love. He’s also called Maryada Purushottam Ram.
The ninth day of Chatra Navratri is also celebrated as Ram Navami as per the Hindu calendar and it marks the birth of Lord Rama.
