The May 2022 (March-April) issue of the magazine launched among a packed webinar audience on 28th May, Saturday.

Themed around 'Preventing & Managing Heat Waves', it features articles, stories and opinion pieces of experts, professionals, teachers, students as well as a housewife.

The release ceremony witnessed more than a 100 people participation from national and international geographies.

Speakers included Shri. K.J Ramesh, former DG, Intian Meteorological Department; Mr. Vikrant Mahajan, CEO, Sphere India; Shri. Anil Kr Sinha, IAS (Retd) and others.

Mr. Vikrant Mahajan emphasised that the magazine can also advocate through its article on Climate Budget; Parliamentary committee in India on DRR; Decentralisation of DRM; Linkage with PM 10 points Agenda; Convergence; Covid-19 and commitment at climate change summit, how they can be carried forward till ground level! He also underlined on the Need to start preparedness for the monsoon.

Shri Dhingra ji highlighted the need for wireless to be given to Civil Defence also through DDMAs along with coordination between the two.

Shri. Vinod bhanti expressed that Community Based Disaster Management should be promoted; Awareness, Education, Training and equipment should be given to them; Air conditioning must be regulated in the country. Even a cooler is enough to serve the purpose; Lots of forest and parks must be developed.
