Today’s P&M Communications is an organisation which is a consolidated version of the vision and activities dating back to 1985 when it started its journey in the name of Open Air Communications.Initially it was into production of jingles, advertising films,documentaries and thereafter moved onto international collaborations with major Sports Television networks in US and UK. Started covering FIFA World Cup Football from 1990 in Italy and a few thereafter. Sports merchandising and later International Sports coverage became one of its primary activities. Gradually it got engaged in a different genre of Television production- news and current affairs- producing and broadcasting first ever current affairs TV series on the regional network, Kolkata Doordarshan. The first ever Indo-Bangladesh Television series produced and broadcast in 2001.
Bengal has always been the primary interest of P&M Communications. At present it has two robust portals www.bongodorshon.com and www.getbengal.com owned and managed by P&M apart from a recent e-commerce portal www.thebengalstore.com selling products exclusively from Bengal.
