ഓരോ നഗരവും വികസിക്കുകയും മനോഹരമാക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ തെരുവുകൾ തോറും കോൺക്രീറ്റ് സ്ലാബുകളാൽ അടച്ചുവെയ്ക്കപ്പെട്ട കാനകളിലൂടെ നുരഞ്ഞും പതഞ്ഞും ഒഴുകിയും കെട്ടികിടന്നും എവിടേക്കെന്നറിയാതെ പരക്കുന്ന ഒരുപാട് ജീവിതങ്ങളുണ്ട്, നമ്മുടെ കാഴ്ചകളെ മറച്ചുകൊണ്ട്. ആ ജീവിതങ്ങൾ പലപ്പോഴും സമൂഹമോ സാഹിത്യമോ ചർച്ചചെയ്യുക പോലുമില്ല. ഏകാകിയുടെ സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ കൊച്ചി നഗരത്തിന്റെ അധോതല ജീവിതത്തെ ആവിഷ്കരിക്കാനുള്ള സാർത്ഥകമായ ശ്രമമാണ്.

പുസ്തകം വായിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ആദ്യം ചെയ്തത് ഡീഗോ ഗാർഷ്യ എന്ന സ്ഥലം ശരിക്കും ഉണ്ടോ എന്ന് നോക്കുകയാണ്. കണ്ടത് പക്ഷെ തികച്ചും വ്യത്യസ്തമായ ഒരു ഡീഗോ ഗാർഷ്യ ആണ്.
അല്ല! എന്റെ ഡീഗോ ഗാർഷ്യ ഇങ്ങനെ അല്ല!.

എന്നോട് “വായിച്ചിട്ടെന്ത്‌ കിട്ടാനാ?” എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചവരെ കൊണ്ട് “നീ ഇതുവരെ ഈ പുസ്തകം വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെ” എന്ന് ചോദിപ്പിച്ച പുസ്തകം.
ഒരുപാട് പുതിയ വായനക്കാരെയും വായിക്കാൻ മറന്നവരെ കൊണ്ട് വീണ്ടും വായിക്കാൻ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ച ഒരു പുസ്തകം.

ഓവർ ഹൈപ്ഡ് ആണെന്ന comments കണ്ടതിനു ശേഷമാണ്‌ വായിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയത്. അതിന്റെ പോസിറ്റീവ് സൈഡ് എടുക്കാൻ ആണ് ഞാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്. ആ ഹൈപ്പ് കൊണ്ട് ഒരുപാട് പുതിയ വായനക്കാർ ഉണ്ടായല്ലോ. അതിൽ ചിലരെങ്കിലും തുടർന്നും വായിക്കും എന്ന് കരുതുന്നു. എഴുത്തുകാരൻ പറഞ്ഞ പോലെ ഒരു സിനിമാറ്റിക് നോവൽ തന്നെ ആണ്.
റീഡേഴ്സ് ബ്ലോക്കിൽ പെട്ട് നിൽക്കുന്നവർക്കും വായന തുടങ്ങാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവർക്കും recommend ചെയ്യാം.
