Jammu:- Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu-Kashmir unit has taken assurance to fulfill some of its resolutions based on public aspirations in exchange for supporting Congress candidates in the Lok Sabha elections.
In a press conference held today at the party state central office, state chief Manish Sahni said that as per the instructions of the party high command, following the coalition dharma, Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu-Kashmir unit will leave no stone unturned to ensure the victory of Congress candidates Raman Bhalla and Chaudhary Lal Singh on both the Lok Sabha seats of Jammu division. Sahni said that in return for support, an assurance has been taken from the Congress candidates to fulfill some of their resolutions based on public aspirations. Both the candidates have been made aware of the demands like full statehood for Jammu and Kashmir, restoration and increase in pension without any bar to senior citizens, widows and disabled, 24*7 Jammu DD channel to protect our language, culture, art and glorious heritage, improving health facilities and setting up trauma centres equipped with facilities at district level, restoration of concession to elderly and women in railway tickets, starting metro project, unemployment allowance for educated youth, regularization of daily wagers , safe return of Kashmiri Pandits, etc. and a promise has been taken to fulfill them.
Sahni said that the BJP, which got full support of the people by raising its voice against discrimination against Jammu, has, during its rule, divided Jammu and Kashmir into two parts, snatched away the status of the state and is trying to destroy our cultural identity. Along with this, all the promises like return of Kashmiri Pandits, development, employment, restoration of peace have also proved to be mere rhetoric today. Continuing its strict action against drug peddlers under ops *SANJEEVANI* Jammu Police today on 24.03.2024 attached one triple story house and one double -storied, residential house *valuing in Crores* belonging to notorious drug peddlers namely
*1) Reena @ Roopa W/0 Bobby R/0 Rajeev Nagar ,Narwal Jammu*
2) *Pal singh S/0 Roshan Lal and his wife Seema w/0 Pal singh R/0 Rajeev nagar, Narwal Jammu under section 68-F of NDPS Act 1985*
The residential houses were identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Jammu Police. The property was prima facie accured from the proceeds of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances by the owners of above mentioned houses.
Pertinently the said Drug peddlers are involved in Case FIR NOs:-
i) 220/2017 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act PS Bahu fort Jammu.
ii) 67/2019 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act PS Bahu fort Jammu
iii) 185/2017 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act PS Bahu fort Jammu
iv) 220/2022 U/S 8/17/18/20 NDPS Act PS Bahu fort Jammu
5) 153/2023 U/S 8/20/29 NDPS Act of PS Bahu fort Jammu.
This operation reaffirms the commitment of Jammu Police to combat the drug menace with full force.
