*Theft cases Solved by Police Station Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. 03 Thieves arrested,stolen property worth several Lacs recovered*

Acting proactively with investigation prowess, Police station Bakshi Nagar working as team solved the theft matters of Public and recovered stolen property.

A written complaints was lodged by one namely Rajesh Singh S/o Kartar Nath R/o Mahanpur Kathua, A/P Reahri Colony, Jammu, regarding the theft in his room by some unknown thieves who stole some gold jewellery and one Mobile Phone.

On receiving the complaints following cases
1. FIR No. 3/2025 U/S 331(4)/ 305 BNS
2. FiR No. 10/2025 u/s 303(2) BNS
3. FIR no.189/2024 u/s 303(2)
were registered in PS Bakshi Nagar Jammu and investigation were started.

02 special teams were constituted by SDPO City West to trace out accused, led by by I/C PP Sarwal and IC PP GMC under the close supervision of SHO P/S Bakshi NAGAR. investigation teams did strenuous efforts and with the help of various CCTV footages of the area finally rounded up suspects namely 1.Saddam Hussain S/o Abdul Hamid R/o Gurmu Distt. Doda A/P Belli-Charana,
2.Zia Farooq s/o Farooq Ahmed R/o Baderhawa district Doda &
3.Sahil Imtiyaz s/o Imtiyaz Ahmed R/o Attal grah Baderwa district Doda
Jammu, upon whom disclosure , Jewellery and Mobile Phone , two stolen scooty bearing registration no jk02CX/4280,,
Jk03N/7274 and one E-Riksha bearing registration JK02DE1363 has been recovered so far.

Further investigation of the cases is going on.

Jammu , 28th , January, 2025:- Director General of Police, J&K, Sh Nalin Prabhat, along with ADGP Jammu Zone, Sh Anand Jain and senior officers conducted an extensive review of the preparedness in the area.

2. The primary objective of the visit was to assess the arrangements and of the various across the region. The DGP visited forward bases (FOBs), ensuring the were prepared and to any challenges.

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees and pensioners to 53%, effective from July 1, 2024, according to two official orders issued by the Finance Department.

As per an order issued by the J&K Government Finance Department, the government employees working under the 7th Pay Commission recommendations will now receive DA at 53% of their Basic Pay, up from the previous rate of 50%.

The term "Basic Pay" in the revised pay structure refers to the pay drawn in the prescribed level in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th Pay Commission recommendations, excluding special pay and other allowances.

The arrears for the additional DA installment from July 2024 to December 2024 will be paid in February 2025, and the revised rates will form part of the monthly salary from January 2025 onwards, it reads.

Similarly, as per another order issued by the Finance Department reads the DA for pensioners and family pensioners has been revised to 53% of their Basic Pension or Basic Family Pension, up from the previous 50%.

The arrears for pensioners and family pensioners for the same period will also be disbursed in February 2025, while the revised rates will be reflected in pensions and family pensions starting January 2025, reads the order.

● More than 200 representatives of employer of District Doda and Kishtwar attended the Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 programme held at Conference Hall D C Office, Doda.
● P. F. Commissioner, Shri Rizwan Uddin, RPFC- I, RO Jammu personally heard grievances of workers, employers.
● P. F. Commissioner, Shri Rizwan Uddin also met with the subscribers on Doda Thatthri Road en route to Doda for NAN 2.0 and heard the grievances and issued directions on the spot to the concerned for speedy resolution.
EPFO Jammu, holds Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0, an awareness and outreach program at Conference Hall, DC Office Doda at 10.00 AM on 27th January, 2024.
Employers and employees of areas were sensitized about provisions of social security, besides covering themes of “UAN Activation Process” “Filing online claims” –. The aim of the program is to ensure broad based participation, awareness, and grievance redressal and information exchange network closer to the stakeholders of EPFO.

The P. F. Commissioner, Shri Rizwan Uddin, RPFC-I, RO Jammu, while addressing the employers said that a number of employees are yet to be enrolled as members. For this necessary action would be taken against defaulting establishments. Regional Office, Jammu, EPFO expresses its gratitude to Chief Education Officer, Doda, Shri Parkash Thapa, Shri Ikhlaq Ahmad, President of the Private School Association, Doda, and President of National Academy Thathri, and Mr. Shahab of M/s Chenab Valley Public Higher Secondary School for their outstanding coordination, assurance to increase the coverage and support for assuring the implementation the EPF and MP Act in all schools of District Doda. Their collaborative efforts ensured a smooth and successful rollout of the initiative.

Officers and representatives from Industries & Commerce, DUDA, Doda, NHIDCL, Doda, J&K Farmer’s Producer Co. Ltd., Bhagwah, Doda, owners and staff of private school of district Doda, Nodal Officer, Sh. Nehal Pandit, ALC Doda also joined the programme. Sh, Devinder Singh, Enforcement Officer (District Nodal Officer), EPFO provided handhold support to the needy workers. Contractors of NHIDCL, Doda, J&K, S S Parihar, Ridhi Sidhi also joined the programme. Ms. Arpana, owner of New Light Public School (Shira, Doda) was provided handholding support and guidance on how to register on the Shram Suvidha Portal for obtaining the PF Code.

M/s Nadeem Memorial Nursing Home also assured to get the establishment covered in PF during the NAN 2.0 programme. Schools were given guidance in r/o allotment of PF Code Number. M/s Boru Construction also assured to increase the membership and all of these establishments will come forward to create awareness about EPF and giving the benefits to the workers. More than 200 participants attended the program making the 2nd Anniversary of Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 a massive success. Sh. Rizwan Uddin, RPFC-I thanked all the participants and especially DC, Doda for making this programme a huge success.

The programme focused on reaching out to the stakeholders and creating awareness about schemes of EPFO viz. PF, Pension, and Insurance, addressing queries and grievances of stakeholders, taking feedback and suggestions from stakeholders. PF Commissioner appealed all the industries to extend the Social Security benefits to all the eligible employees from the very first day of their joining in the establishment. Handholding session was also held to sensitize the employers about PF provisions and modalities. Important initiatives of EPFO such as Employment Linked Incentive Scheme (ELI), UAN Activation, were touched upon. Grievances related to the updation of member profile through Joint Declaration, Death Cases were heard and registered during the program.

Enrollment of the members, UAN Activation, filing ECR were also covered in the program. The Universal account Number (UAN) activation process is straight forward and can be completed using Aadhaar based OTP by following the basic steps:

1. Go to EPFO Member Portal.
2. Click on the “Activate UAN” link under “Important links”.
3. Enter your UAN, Aadhaar number, name, DOB and Aadhaar linked mobile number.
4. Employees should ensure their mobile number is Aadhaar-linked to access the full range of EPFO’s digital services.
5. Agree to Aadhaar OTP verification.
6. Click “Get Authorization PIN” to receive an OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
7. Enter the OTP to complete the activation.
8. A password will be sent to your registered mobile number upon successful activation.

Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I, Rizwan Uddin also requested the Chief Education Officer, Doda, Shri Parkash Thapa, to facilitate coordination between the Regional Office, Jammu, and all schools to conduct an online session with IT professionals from schools and RO Jammu, EPFO, focusing on filing Electronic Challan cm Return (ECR) and Challan. This collaborative effort aims to ensure seamless compliance with EPFO regulations and facilitate a smooth filing process for schools. By leveraging the expertise of IT professionals, this online session will provide valuable guidance and support to schools in managing their ECR and Challan submissions efficiently

Services and benefits of “Social Security”– through Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 and of Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Schemes, 1976 – where quantum of insurance is up to Rupees Seven Lakhs, are being rendered to employees of Union Territory of Jammu &Kashmir with effect from November 2019 onwards. EPFO, Jammu, is open to every valuable suggestion at the Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 programme.

Upholding ideals of constitution; befitting tribute to constitution's framers

UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 26: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, today hoisted the national flag at Boys Government Degree College, Udhampur, to commemorate celebration of 76th Republic Day.

The Minister inspected the parade and took salute at an impressive march past presented by 32 contingents drawn from District Police, SKPA, ITBP and NCC.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister congratulated the people of the nation and said that Republic Day is a day of celebration of the democratic values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. “The Constitution of India, which provides justice and equality to all, serves to strengthen the people economically, educationally and socially”, he added.

He said that the occasion serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the vision of Constitution’s framers, who laid the foundation for an inclusive and secular India. "We are indebted to the people whose supreme sacrifices made a significant impact on the nation. Their sacrifices are a source of inspiration for all Indians and the nation will always remember them," he asserted.

Hailing the contribution of Dr. BR Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, Javed Rana said that he played a pivotal role in drafting this landmark document. “He gave this great country a constitution which guarantees rights to every citizen without discrimination of caste, color, region or religion," he said.

Javed Rana highlighted the diversity that makes India strong and vibrant and urged all to reaffirm commitment to uphold the lofty constitutional principles and work towards a more inclusive, prosperous and strong India. "We have to be at the forefront in defending the core values of the Constitution that defines the republic and shapes our collective future," he said, adding that upholding the idea and ideals of the Constitution will be the true tribute to our constitution.

Javed Rana also paid tribute to the countless sacrifices made by India’s freedom fighters, reiterating the government’s dedication towards fulfilling their vision for a stronger and greener India. He encouraged everyone to contribute actively towards nation-building, particularly in addressing climate change and sustainable development.

The Minister also highlighted the achievements recorded by the district administration in various sectors. He made a mention about several major development projects/schemes which are at the verge of completion. These included National Highway (NH-244) Project, Government Medical College Udhampur, Up-gradation of Government ANM School Udhampur to Govt Nursing College Udhampur, Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP), Jal Jeevan Mission and Public Darbars/ Block Diwas.

02 Most Notorious drug peddlers including a nursing orderly, arrested with he**in by Police in Rehambal, Udhampur

Police team from Police Station Rehambal led by its SHO while performing routine vehicle checking at Rehambal naka point stopped one bike bearing registration number JK14J-0690 for checking purpose which was coming from Jammu towards Udhampur.

Upon conducting a thorough frisking of rider and pillion, police team recovered 39.9 grams of he**in (chitta) like Contraband substance from their possession .

The arrested individuals have been identified as :-

1) Vikrant Sharma, S/O Narinder Sharma, R/O Chabutra Bazar, Udhampur, who is working as a nursing orderly at GMC Udhampur.

2) Arjun Dubey, S/O Bushan Dubey, R/O W.No 12, Paba Gali, Udhampur, who works as a receptionist on a contractual basis in the medical department.

On this, a case vide FIR No. 15/2025 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered in P/S Rehambal and further investigation was set into probe.

*Jammu Police arrests hardcore criminal in Bishnah; He**in and 9mm pistol seized*

Jammu Police arrested a notorious criminal, *Pankaj Singh alias Panku Raja, son of Gopal Singh, resident of Kotli Mian Fateh,Miran Sahib, against whom 12 FIRs are registered.* The accused, also a history-sheeter of PS Miran Sahib, had recently come out after completing his detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA).

Acting on specific inputs, a police team of PS Bishnah conducted a raid and arrested the said criminal. During the search, *25 grams of he**in-like substance and a 9mm pistol were recovered from his possession.*

The entire operation was carried out by police team led by Inspector Sh. Sushil Choudhary , SHO Bishnah under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura and SP HQ Jammu, reinforcing the police’s commitment to curbing crime and drug-related activities in the region.

A case has been registered at Police Station Bishnah under relevant sections of law and further investigation is underway to trace the network behind the recovered narcotics and illegal weapon.

Jammu Police remains committed to maintaining law and order and taking strict action against criminals to ensure the safety and security of the public.

Tiger Division of Indian Army celebrated 76th Republic Day at Balidan Stambh, Jammu

The Tiger Division of Indian Army celebrated 76th ‘Republic Day’ at Balidan Stambh war memorial on 26 January 2025 to commemorate the adoption of our constitution. The solemn ceremony at Balidan Stambh is observed every year by the Tiger Division to honour the spirit of India’s independence. The Balidan Stambh which has the unique distinction of being the tallest War Memorial in India, standing tall at 60 Metres was beautifully adorned with vibrant colours on the occasion. Honourable Lieutenant Governor of UT Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Kumar Sinha made the event special by laying a wreath on the ‘Eternal Flame’ of the memorial and paid tribute to the supreme sacrifice of our gallant Bravehearts. The Balidan Stambh also showcases 52 memorial pillars with 7512 names of bravehearts and murals of nine Paramveer Chakra awardees and 27 Ashok Chakras awardees.
